Anti-LGBTQ conspiracy theorist and U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has become the subject of a lawsuit accusing her of being an insurrectionist in connection with the January 6th attack on the Capitol.
The 14th amendment of the Constitution bans insurrectionists from holding public office, so if Greene loses, she would not be able to run for office again.

The lawsuit has been brought by a nonprofit called Free Speech For People and argues that due to her role in inciting the Capitol insurrection, Greene “is constitutionally disqualified from congressional office and, as such, ineligible to run as a candidate under state and federal law,” according to the New Yorker.
The lawsuit shares multiple moments to prove Greene played a role in the insurrection, one of which was a tweet on January 5th calling the 6th “our 1776 moment.” There was also a Facebook video of Greene declaring, “You can’t allow it to just transfer power peacefully like Joe Biden wants and allow him to become our President because he didn’t win this election.”
Ron Fein, the legal director of Free Speech For the People, said it’s likely Greene will appeal all the way up to the Georgia Supreme Court, but that he believes they have a strong case.
Greene is known for her belief in the long-debunked QAnon conspiracy theories claiming that the government was really in the control of a “deep state” cabal of pedophiles in opposition to Donald Trump, and “Q” is someone on the inside that needed help in bringing the “deep state” down.
Some other “theories” and beliefs that Greene has peddled on social media include those mass shootings such as the Parkland and Newtown massacres were “false flag” events, denial that the 9/11 terror attacks took place, that Black people “are held slaves to the Democratic Party,” that “space lasers” controlled by a Jews were the cause of many wildfires, and the QAnon precursor, Pizzagate.
Last February, she was also stripped of her committee assignments in Congress due to her conspiracy theories and support of violence against Democrats.
Greene is also virulently anti-trans and has said that fighting for transgender equality is “exactly” the same as what the Taliban is doing in Afghanistan.
A Hillary pal from the past is behind this effort. Already failed for someone else...who?
Democrats always play dirty..........why is that so hard for gop to understand
I would argue that Free Speech For People are the insurrectionists.
No she can’t. Voters in her district decide. She hasn’t been convicted of a crime. Just a leftist wet dream.
No.
???...lgbtqnation.com...???
Seriously?
I will never understand why people ever visit such sites
and give them their advertising click dollars.
Not to mention the thought process of:
“...Oh, I should post that on Free Republic!...”
Sorry, I thought it was the Babylon Bee :)
Hey, moron, there has to be a specific series of actions before someone is ineligible under the scenario you are trying to put forward.
First, there needs to be a crime.
Then there needs to be an arrest.
Then there needs to be a grand jury.
Then there needs to be a trial.
Then there needs to be a conviction.
Since bald faced lies masquerading as accusations are all you have, why don’t you just crawl back under your rock and quit annoying the adults.

You apparently are not one of them
Could LGBTQNATION be blocked from breathing because they are too stupid and evil to be allowed to do so???
Um NO.
There is no such thing as a "trans woman". There is XX (real women) and XY (men.)
XY cannot become XX. It doesn't matter how many different ways the parts are sliced and diced and re-arranged, XY will always be a man, no matter the gender dysphoria (mental illness) of the man.
Similarly, XX cannot become XY, no matter how many parts on top are rutilated and cut off, nor whatever they do downstairs surgically or 'strap on.'
Hate speech, I know and yet that doesn't stop it from being factual.
What? Where did that come from?
It is sad that you cannot remember what you said this morning.

That is how it is for alcoholics, and is part of the AA program’s teaching.
Some (probably the VAST majority) of us are quite capable of having one or two drinks and stopping.
Wow!
You had my comment #12 deleted!
That just confirms to me that it was true!

That I know folks who are in a program, and they talk to me about it, does not mean that *I* am in that program.
I think there is a bit of miscommunication/misinterpretation here.
Bless your heart.
