Bond is dead. They killed him at the end of the last movie. Turns out, he DID have time to die.
As far as I’m concerned, that is the end of the franchise.

I remember watching the Bond films first run in a theater (Dr. No, Goldfinger, etc.). I wouldn’t even watch a 00-Swisher on free TV now.....

I think the Daniel Craig cycle is considered a standalone series. A reboot that begins with Casino Royale. Kinda like Christopher Nolan rebooted Batman in a self-contained trilogy, which is unconnected to previous or subsequent Batman films.

Remember, Bond gets his 00 in the beginning of Casino Royale. So it's the beginning of the Bond saga. And he dies in the end.

In some ways, No Time to Die is a thematic remake of On Her Majesty's Secret Service. If you listen carefully, you can hear the OHMSS theme music playing softly in the background during the Thames scene in the first half of No Time to Die. And you also have the Louis Armstrong song in the end.

Any future Bond film will be yet another reboot, with the saga beginning all over again.

No Time to Die SUCKED, despite the Rotten Tomatoes rating. I sat gritting my teeth watching a cold blooded killer crying over lost relationships, begging forgiveness. When they killed him off at the end, I knew the franchise was dead.
