This 1941 M3 Stuart tank is a riveted-hull light tank that was produced in November 1941 and reportedly sent to Australia for training purposes until 1946.
It remained in the country until it was acquired by the current owner in 2018 and reimported to the US. The tank is powered by a replacement gasoline-powered 668ci Continental W-670 seven-cylinder radial engine that sends power to the tracks via a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a manually rotating turret, a de-milled M22 gun with a shoulder mount, a Mark 19 radio set, and canvas seatbacks.
The fuel lines and filters were replaced in preparation for the sale. This M3 Stuart is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner in Los Angeles, California, on a bill of sale.
I would LOVE to drive that into downtown Portland!
I think something like that is referred to as a “black swan event”. It would be a real game changer and a hilarious YouTube video.
Except the local PD wouldn’t get the joke and they’d bring out their heavy, ex-mil toys.
I’m not buying it with canvas seatbacks. No way. I want Recaro or the deal is off.
Yeah, after a half an hour of merriment and greasing the roadwheels with antifa!
I want rich Cardovian Leather seats, with the options of heating/cooling.
I wouldn’t buy anything without an automatic turret or a cup holder.
Interesting piece of history. No way would I want to own it:

F-15s, nukes? Pfffftttttt! 😂
After WW II some American Legion Posts got surplus tanks and had them on the front lawn - I played on those tanks as a kid - they had to weld the hatches shut because kids were crawling inside.
Great fun!
Watched over by the ghost of Jeb Stuart
Loved those comics in the early 60’s including Sgt Rock, the War that time forget, Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandos, Captain Savage and his Leatherneck raiders, Blackhawk, Suicide squadron, and torok son of stone.
And of course on TV Combat , Rat Patrol and Blue Light, Plus there were some comics adaptations of books, which I still have two ... Guadalcanal Diary and PT 109
I always wanted one of these. Grew up reading DC comics “The Haunted Tank’’ and marveled at how a little tank with a 37mm main gun could knock out Panther and Tiger tanks, but it was fantasy.
In the deserts of North Africa the British called this tank “The Honey’’ because of it’s ease of handling and speed.
In reality though the M3 was no match for heavier German tanks of WW2.
I hear you. I grew reading all those great DC comics. I still have a few issues of them carefully stored away.
Russ Heath was the best DC comic artist. Joe Kubert was good too.
Remill the gun and send it to northern Virginia. We’re gonna need it the way crime is shooting through the ceiling due to Democrat local governments and Soros-bought and paid for Marxist Commonwealth Attorneys.
Captain Storm the PT boat commander, Johnny Cloud the Navajo Ace and Gunner nd Sarge the Marines, but the Haunted Tank was my favorite
