China has taken a vicious swipe at the G7 leaders with an eerie cartoon of the West's 'last supper' after Australia received support in its push for a new inquiry into the origin of the Covid-19 virus.
The cartoon, titled 'the last G7', is a parody of Leonardo da Vinci's painting of Jesus Christ's Last Supper before he was crucified, and depicts the US, UK, Italy, Canada, Japan, Germany, France, India and Australia as their national animals plotting to 'rule the world'.
In the illustration republished by the Communist Party mouthpieces including The Global Times, animals are sitting around a table with a Chinese-map-shaped cake.
The cartoon, which went viral on Chinese social media on Sunday after the world leaders met in Cornwall, UK, for the G7 Summit, depicts the Last Supper of Jesus and his apostles before his crucifixion.
The title of the image reads 'through this we can still rule the world' and shows the leaders surrounded by piles of money.
Social media users in China shared the cartoon on Weibo and mocked G7 leaders, with one saying it was 'perhaps their "last supper"'.
The fresh attack comes after Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison won key backing from world leaders at the summit, with a multilateral pledge to tackle Chinese economic distortion as well authoritarian crackdowns in Hong Kong.

Australia is represented by a kangaroo, the US is a bald eagle, the UK is a lion, Canada is represented as a beaver, France is a rooster, India is shown as an elephant, Italy is a wolf, Japan is shown as a shiba inu dog and Germany is represented by a black hawk.
There is a printing press fed by toilet paper and printing dollars, while the Japanese dog fills their chalices with radioactive goo.
China destroyed all the evidence and buried anyone with knowledge of the Wuhan P4 bio weapons activity. And everyone at the G7 circle-jerk knows it. Everyone.
But nobody will/can do a damned thing about it.
It’s actually insightful. I just shook my head at the latest group photo. They all stand there like a bunch of grinning idiots. And I saw where Trudeau styles himself as the senior statesman of the group.
The photo reeked of impotence. A more stupid group would be hard to conjure up.
And it’s great propaganda for the home front. It reminds Chinamen of the days when the world carved out spheres of influence.
Too bad our globalist G7 masters are incapable of learning anything and adjusting.

Kinda, kinda not. When we turned the spigot on, we were the world’s leading creditor nation. Now we are the world’s debtor nation. We can shut off money to them in a sense, but in return they are not far from being able to crash our economy.
Some would argue they already have.
