Capitol Hill axe-throwing venue Blade & Timber announced this week that it now has approval to begin serving alcohol beginning on April 30.
This makes Blade & Timber the first axe-throwing venue in Washington permitted to serve alcohol, following two years of petitioning the state Cannabis and Liquor Board.
The first time the venue applied, it eventually withdrew “in order to compile data and develop 80-pages of safety documents before reapplying to receive the board’s approval.”

So, is this the type of place you throw questions around?
Hold muh beer......
What could possibly go wrong!
What could go wrong?
I could spill my beer?
Im good with it. Hopefully some Antifa types out that way can accidently brain each other while drinking too much of some crappy local brew IPA.
They had to make sure the patrons knew how to throw an axe sober before they would be permitted to serve them alcohol.
This will not end well.............................
I’ll take “Babylon Bee Headlines” for 100.
what cud go wrong?
It sure sounds like one of the most boneheaded ideas I ever heard. Give people liquor, and then give them axes to throw around!
But hey, at least it’s still a somewhat free country.
Already mixed drinking and axe throwing in MN. Was fun.
That took 80 pages and then you boil it down to 1 sentence.
I hope you never plan to get paid by the word in some future enterprise
I understand the potential fun this could be, but I’m always surprised any bar wants to feature this activity where folks are likely to be a little bit drunk. To each his own idea of fun. I just won’t be entering.
I think of those old performances of a man throwing knives at a woman (usually young, attractive, and in a bikini) tied to a giant revolving wheel of potential misfortune.
Some entertainment defies any logic, it’s simply a great spectacle. One you can’t turn away from.
This is SUCH a bad idea LOL
Definitely not where I’m going to do my drinking.
