Occasionally we would have animals which would not gain weight no matter how long they were around or how much they ate.
Their litter mates would go to market at 6 months and 230 - 240 pounds but they would still be under a hundred pounds.
Metabolism. Those of us burly types would give an internal organ to be able to eat like that. My weight hhovers in the 230-240 pound range, and a taco makes me full for an hour. Of course, if I gave up beer, I’d drop a stone in a week. But that’s asking a lot of me.
My younger son is a “hard gainer.” He works out like crazy, eats clean, eats a lot... Skinny as a rail. Has his mom’s genes. Me, I can look at something and gain a pound. Aside from that, I’m still trying to figure out when and how “competitive eating” became a career. I mean, I like to eat but seriously...
