Large pockets of first responders, front-line health workers, and other public-facing employees are so far refusing COVID-19 vaccination by the thousands in Massachusetts, prompting calls for state government and private employers to make getting shots a condition of hiring.
Already, the president of one of the largest senior care operators in the state, Hebrew SeniorLife, has said its facilities plan to require COVID vaccines for new employees later this spring when shots are more widely available. And Attorney General Maura Healey earlier this week suggested that public safety employees, such as State Police and prison workers, should be expected to get the shots.
“[If] you’re going to sign up for public work, and receive a paycheck from the taxpayers of this state who have sacrificed and lost so much … [and] you can’t get a vaccination? It’s irresponsible,” Healey said on GBH’s Boston Public Radio, while acknowledging that some may have health conditions that prevent them from getting the shots. […]
The Globe reported last week that 30 percent of the State Police’s 2,850 employees haven’t been vaccinated at department-run clinics, though department officials said they know that some booked appointments elsewhere. And more than half of Department of Correction employees have refused the state’s offer to get the COVID-19 vaccine at work.
Now, a Globe survey of nearly two dozen of the state’s largest police, fire, and emergency medical departments shows swaths of others declining to get the shots through their employers. …

If the vaccine is available to all who chose to take it, mandating it for all people makes no logical sense.
People who choose to be vaccinated are protected and cannot get Covid from non-vaccinated.
The non-vaccinated will be the only pool that continues to be infected over time and with each case immunity is conferred, not by having been vaccinated but by direct interaction with the virus.
The fascists are in a full on sprint at this point and few will stand up and stop them.

This concept of forced human medical experimentation was discussed in depth at Nuremberg.
None of the vaccine cure or kill the virus. They reduce symptoms but the vaxxed person is still a carrier and the virus can mutate in such hosts to enlarge the infection rate and virulence. But dr fraudci is working to keep that truth from the people.
I suggest full clinical trials before even considering the vaccine safe enough.
Does this mean that People’s Republic of Taxachusetts will responsibility for any and all harm done to those they force to take the not-vaccine?

With the exception of workers/staff in Nursing Home/Senior living places, why.
Most of these state employees are probably under the age of 55 and don’t need a shot.
Also, how many have had a mild form of the disease and have produced their own antibodies to protect them.
Last but not least, we are probably heading into Herd Immunity and there is zero need for young healthy people to be vaccinated.
It’s illegal to mandate the vaccine while it’s under Emergency Use Authorization.
On a virus that IS and will CONTINUE to mutate.
Also, has a 99% survival rate for people under 70.

My wife, our siblings and most of our friends are 80 plus and have received the vaccines. So we are protected.
Our younger generation family members are about 50/50 re getting vaccinated. They run from early 20’s to mid/late 50’s. All are in good health, and smart people, who are good at calculating the odds in any decision.
