… (Ashli Babbitt’s) death was part of the grim toll of a riot that left five people dead, including a Capitol Police officer, vandalized the seat of American democracy and left the nation shaken. But the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol with Babbitt—climbing on scaffolding, smashing windows, looting offices and posing for selfies as they romped through the building for nearly three hours—were far from chastened by the deadly cost. On pro-Trump forums and messaging apps, there was jubilation: “The 6th was a day to be proud of!” read one post on a pro-Trump board. “The most patriotic thing I ever witnessed,” wrote another. “This is only the beginning. Trump was the fuse, we are the bomb.”
The rampage at the Capitol was a demonstration of power that far-right extremists intend to wield as a recruiting tool, according to interviews with nine former U.S. security officials and experts who study right-wing extremism. […]
Regardless of what Babbitt believed in life, in death she has become a symbol both for causes she fervently embraced and some she likely never even heard of. On pro-Trump message boards, apps like Parler, and even more explicitly extremist corners of the Internet, she has been hailed since the riot as a “freedom fighter,” the “first victim of the second Civil War,” a patriot who was sacrificed in an imagined revolution. “The beautiful young woman who was executed will be remembered as a martyr,” one user wrote on a pro-Trump board. Another post was titled “Innocent girl — only wanted free and fair elections.” One poster vowed, “Your blood will not be in vain. We will avenge you.” …

14 years military and then she quit. I don’t get it unless her looks could be peddled. 20 years is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Crawled through the window. Is this what we do?
Then there’s that AF Lt. Colonel. Academy graduate. Not much to do the last few years I guess.
My bad. Patriot.
So will we see George Floyd-style murals of her on city buildings?
Wearing black, helmets, body armor, scaling walls with stairs right there, breaking windows, bringing hammers and bats...IMO, it is only explicable by antifa infiltration.
It’s as obvious as The Steal.
Gee. Wonder why the name of the officer who shot her is not being released. Seems that the names of cops in all other shootings are released and publicized immedeatly.
Some journalist yesterday said she exited (having done active-duty, Nat’l Guard and Reserve time)...as a E-4. Something to this whole story, I suspect.
The arrogant elitists burned Joan of Arc at the stake and labeled her a heretic. Then she became a saint.
Regardless of what these current arrogant elitists say, this lady is now a martyr.
#SayHerName
Crispus Atticus.
And after an entire summer of rioting, burning and destroying, as well as attacking the police and innocent people, not a single “medical related” death. It’s a miracle!
14 years and only an E-4? I highly doubt that. Even with just one enlistment as active duty she should have made it to E-4. and then add on any Guard or Reserve service?
Never forget Bernell Trammell a black Trump supporter murdered for his views. His public execution in broad daylight, remains unsolved.
“Crawled through the window. Is this what we do?”
She didn’t “crawl through the window.” Hell, she had just stepped up on to the ledge when she was shot; a couple of the videos clearly show that.
The left insn’t trying to do this with that Capitol Police officer death?
“Then there’s that AF Lt. Colonel. Academy graduate.”
Who was that?
“Gee. Wonder why the name of the officer who shot her is not being released. Seems that the names of cops in all other shootings are released and publicized immedeatly.”
The shooter was black, and the murder victim was white. said. So, it doesn’t fit the narrative.
