If I remember correctly, USAF regulations required all firearms personal or otherwise for personnel on base to be store within the AF Military Police arsenal.
Had you stored your firearms at the Offutt AFB armory, they likely would have been ruined along with the rest of the building and contents by the high Missouri River flood waters which overwhelmed parts of the base.
They sell firearms on base at BX. How do you get them out of the store?

Firearms purchasers are provided written instructions and escorted to the BX mall exit and directed to proceed off base with no intervening stops. Youre also not allowed to purchase ammunition at the same time as a firearm is purchased.

His commander in chief left office in Jan. 2017.
Perhaps this guy is setting the base up for the next mass shooting. Obama appointee?
Obviously you didn’t read further. BTW I was in the 7Th Air, but located at Malmstrom AFB.
I read it all and was merely bringing to light the fact that the armory at Offutt AFB was flooded out beyond repair in 2019.
That’s what happened when the AF discarded the Strategic Air Command. The base although still on the books was nearly abandoned. Same for Malmstrom and other bases... that were part of the Triad system.
Malmstrom AFB still very viable as it hosts 150 Minuteman III ICBMs (1/3 of the fleet)...
Guess where the next mass shooting at a military base is going to be.
