'Jennifer Rubin — the first person ever to work for the Washington Post after being raised in a kennel.'

No, I must have a few years on you. Long before Rubin came along and started to use the ComPost as her 'intellectual' litter box, they had that hideous, Nixon-hating, Kennedy-cavorting, barren old crone Mary McGrory, who, thankfully, did us the pleasure of just dropping dead a dozen years ago.

#14. I once sat next to Mary McGrory at the press table during a congressional hearing. I even gave her one of my oatmeal cookies. That was before she started attacking moderate Democrat Sen. Gale McGee (Wyoming, and a former history teacher) over Vietnam.

Her superiority arrogance and distain for this honorable man showed me that the word “LEFTIST BITCH” was not strong enough to describe her.

In the media we were supposed to main some professional decorum and behavior. Obviously she missed that class on “Professional Etiquette” and well as the one on honest reporting, getting your facts straight, and getting your information from the original source itself.

I guess that’s why she was one of the Wash. Post’s early “HIT MEN AND WOMEN”, others being Jack Anderson (talk about Communist collusion, he should have been investigated, along with his mentor Drew Pearson, also the mentor to some degree of Brit Hume), Nicholas Von Hoffman (an avowed mini-Marxist), and Catholic Leftist columnist/reporter ??? McCarthy - at least he was open about his political orientation).

McGrory’s descendants today at the Wash. Post include E. J. Dionne, Dana Millbank (if he’s still around), the women columists Dvorak, Sverluga, and esp. Sullivan). I’ll leave out Courtland Milloy who once was a very good columnist but turned into a racial attack man on “whites”. He could have been a “contender” as a man who could write a balanced piece on racial issues but he went to the Darkside and never came back. A real shame that it happened.
