Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross has been ordered to be deposed due to his decision to reinstate a citizenship status question in the upcoming 2020 census. A U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman of the Southern District of New York "Secretary Ross must sit for a deposition because
his intent and credibility are directly at issue, had an unusually strong personal interest and that he went through with this action despite "strong and continuing opposition" from the U.S. Census Bureau
there is a heightened risk in the current political climate that the question will lead to a lower response rate because of President Trumps anti-immigrant rhetoric.

Crooks gonna be crooked
Just tell him no.
I fail to understand what law or rights have been violated. Its a perfectly natural question to ask in a census.
The only problem is if ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS try to fill out the form who are the only ones here who are operating ILLEGALLY!
If that offends the honorable judges on the court thats their problem and they can vote to elect a legislature that will change the laws. Not bully and threaten the executive office into kowtowing to their whims.
Oh, look. A Zero “jurist.”

Ianswer all the questions.
They dont like my answers, too fuching bad.
There is NOTHING WRONG with asking a citizenship question! It used to be the norm. When was it struck from the census?
The purpose of the census is allocating Federal representation. Only citizens are eligible to be counted for this.
Actually we used to count some non-citizens as 3/5 of a person.
Another Federal judge-president weighs in - this one is a BammyKlown.

And this judge is going to ascertain Mr. Ross’s “intent and credibility”?
He’s going to compel a man of Wilbur Ross’s stature to participate in this charade? I doubt it very seriously.
Well, here goes:
Q. What do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 50?
A. “Your Honor”
Actually we counted an ineligible non-Citizen as
US President.
He lied on the last Census about his racial makeup and
doubtless will do so again next time.
But it’s OK for the census to ask about race?
I think you missed the important part... that even though well-intentioned to limit the representation of the south, it set the unfortunate precedent for counting non-citizens in determining representation.
The Census is none of this judge’s business. Ross should appeal this decision and tie the bastards nuts up in poison ivy for months.
Notice how The Hill writer talks about “allegations” against Justice Kavanaugh.
What “allegations”? There was only one long compound sentence referring to what might, could have, or didn’t happen at a drunken party.
The other “charges” have been added by corrupt politicians like Rep. Eleanor Norton Holmes” who said Kavanaugh “raped” Ford, as have many leftist talking heads and so-called journalists and Democrat strategists like this woman Stetzer who keep saying that he “raped” her, “tried to rape” her, “assaulted” her, etc. while Tucker Carlson kept correcting her lies.
The Hill ought to adopt a slogan like the New York Times used to have (or was it the Wash. Post), i.e. “all the news that’s fit to print” but this would be “All the news that’s fake and shit”.
This posting got switched from whatever article I was replying to, to the one about the Census. I never even touched the keyboard so please excuse the confusion.
I can’t even find where my original posting went.
A clear case of the judiciary usurping the constitutional powers of the legislative and the executive branches. The judge should be impeached. Asking the citizenship question on the census form does not harm US citizens.
