Manager should be fired. One does not bring this sort of publicity on their employer over a cup of soda. It will be hard to get the smile off a lawyers face when presented with this video. McDonalds will fold in a heartbeat and be out thousands of dollars over a cup of soda. It is never appropriate for an employee to use violence against a customer in a non life threating or injury situation...that's what the police are for.

It wasn’t just over a soda.

The customer clearly provoked the fight first with throwing the milkshake at her, and then with picking up a tray and slamming it into the manager’s face as hard as she could.

The customer got what she asked for.

She started a fight but didn’t finish it.

And she went back for more and then when the manager finally walks away, she FOLLOWS the manager, apparently still shooting her mouth off.

These days, you can keep your cool, do all the right things, call the cops—and still lose your job because the offended party creates a national Twit(ter)storm over it.
