Because Catholics have been shown to cover up, hide, and actually promote their pedos into positions of authority.
It’s not that pedos exist; pedos will go anywhere there are kids.
It’s that the Catholics have protected them.
Anyone who knowingly protects someone who rapes children, like the so-called priests in the Vatican, is as guilty as the rapist themselves.
Because non-Catholics have been shown to cover up, hide, and actually promote their pedos into positions of authority.
I know of several cases like this in Protestant and evangelical churches.
