Parents always hope their teenagers make smart decisions, but it seems like this generation might be parentless based on what we’re seeing so far. Today’s generation is taking the social challenges to another level. Some of the older crowd did the ice bucket challenge where they dumped buckets of ice water on their head to raise awareness for ALS. Some people did the cinnamon challenge where they ate a spoonful of cinnamon to see if they could handle it. The next generation started eating Tide Pods and they’ve taken it a notch. They are now snorting condoms in their noses and pulling them out of their mouth. It is unknown if the condoms are filled with a bodily fluid, but that hasn’t derailed the teenagers from participating in a disturbing trend that’s making its way around social media.
It seems like just years ago we watched movies and television like Jackass take funny and extreme stunts to new heights. They ran shopping carts into things, smacked each other around, and did funny humorous pranks that caught everyone’s attention. Granted, they were mostly practiced and performed in front of a team of professionals and people who can help if there’s an injury. However, today’s teens have skipped all of the pranks and nonsense stunts and went straight to the vile and disgusting acts of social media glory.

I can think of better things to do with a condom....
Tide Pod munching, condom snorters. That, combined with a worthless, commie publik skool “education helps explain why the millennials and snowflakes are trying to repeal the Bill of Rights and throw freedom on the “ash heap of history”. Freedom, TOO MUCH FREEDOM. Yup! That’s the problem with America. Ask any K-12 publik skool “student” with their undeveloped, programmed by Marxists brains.

The Ice Bucket Challenge was indulgent, and a good way to get individual attention, but it was for a charitable purpose.
The Tide eaters and Condum snuffers are doing nothing for anybody but themselves.

In other words, effortless silliness for attention.
How about a study challenge, ace your tests challenge, SAT challenge, make an income challenge, volunteer challenge?
Yet another down side of social media is fame and attention for being stupider than a bag of hair.
When your life is so empty, so devoid of dreams, that you’re reduced to such infantile antics to get attention, you should be aware 5hat there are positive ways to make a difference in the world.
And Let’s give the right to vote at age 16. Such a mature voting group.l

Maybe it's my total lack of any kind of experience with condoms, but wouldn't condom snorting hurt whoever was wearing the condom???
Geez, there are enough good reasons not to mess with your sinuses. They can be bad enough without unnecessary abuse. Wonder if an ENT doc will comment.
On a more positive note, I have a set of eight grandchildren that follow these challenges; thanks in part to great parents, good schools and a grandparents that support them! I'm blessed.
