Democrats have so normalized hatred and violence against the president of the United States that I fear it will result in some crazy lefty trying to assassinate him. And it’s not just the president at whom their rage is directed. It's all Republicans and conservatives. They are no longer the opposition party. They are the reckless party, putting lives in danger.
Look it’s one thing to disagree It's what America’s all about. But we are now in a danger zone of complete hatred and chaos unlike anything we've witnessed in American history.
The normalization of calling for the assassination, decapitation or the beating of any president is simply shocking. And it is the extension of this hatred that trickles down and motivates people like the shooter of Congressman Scalise.
That shooter wasn't crazy. That's too easy!
He hated Republicans and thought they should die. He was focused on his targets, cognizant enough to inquire about the specific party of those baseball players, his history was that of an individual who hatred President Trump and Republicans and he was no doubt oriented as to person, place and time.....

That was almost 54 years ago. I don't believe any president has ridden in an open convertible since. The Secret Service has tightened things up considerably since JFK, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan. They're certainly aware of how unhinged the lunatic left has become.
They have murdered 60 million babies (in America alone) since 1970, and people are asking when violence may break out.

The JFK assassination though was a result of just pure idiocy and arrogance. Arrogance from assuming everyone loved him, and idiocy for allowing him to not only ride through the streets in an open convertible, but to incredibly publicize the exact route he would be taking the day before allowing any assassin to plan in advance. Its so insanely reckless that sometimes i wonder if there was in fact a conspiracy.
Dallas was especially known for its anti-JFK mood. It voted heavily for Nixon in ‘60 (despite LBJ stealing the state with voter fraud) and had a high-profile Conservative GOP Congressman who was viscerally ant-JFK (Bruce Alger). The equivalent for Trump today would be like riding around San Francisco (or in Maxine “Muddy” Waters’s Watts/South-Central District in L.A.) in an open convertible, a place chock full of reactionary leftist deranged moonbats. Hell, that was where Ford got shot while in office.
JFK rode around in an open car for years, it was a campaign tactic. He was a reckless man, and always got away with everything. Until his luck ran out.

There’s a lot of magical thinking going on. As you say, I think a lot of them just assume that the second place finisher takes the White House if the first place finisher is eliminated or something. Many of the same people can’t read or write in cursive.

No.. LBJ didn’t. Secret Service agent Clint Hill long ago said Kennedy made that decision to keep the bubble top of the limo.
