CEOs receive $38 million to $70 million per year and more, plus benefits. (We don’t know, of course, what President Trump “earns.”) Then, these CEOs fire thousands of their employees.
Companies are closing. People continue losing jobs. Others remain unemployed. Nearly one out of four children in the U.S. are homeless and/or hungry.
This extreme wealth is truly obscene. How many cars, houses, boats and $50,000 coats do the 1 percent need to maintain their status and rip off everyone else, as Trump has?
A mean-spirited Trump and Congress now propose a budget that would sharply reduce health care for the poor, public school funding, Planned Parenthood and protections for a healthy climate and future, and sharply cut food stamps. The housing shortage has become increasingly desperate for the poor, even more so with an ignorant, incompetent Ben Carson in charge of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The president and the right-wing Republican Congress would do all this to further enrich the extremely wealthy. How pleased they are with themselves. What does this say about their values and humanity?

Most of these super-rich are socialists.
All the socialism in America has only served to widen the wealth gap, create millions of working poor (see Fed currency devaluation), ruin our moral fabric, transfer power to the few, make bankers even more rich, lower labor participation etc. What’s not to like?!
Fire all of the counterproductive government bureaucrats, give the money saved to the poor, problem solved.
The rich steal from the poor because that is where the money is. Right Mr. Rubinstein?
A Republican returns to the White House, and the homeless return to news articles and letters to the editor.

When I worked at the unemployment office I found jobs and business start-ups for thousands of people, thus contributing to the economy. Not all “bureaucrats” are drains on society, although some are.

He also forgot to say that Republicans want to count ketchup as a vegetable for purposes of the school lunch program.
Most of the poor and hungry live under socialist or tribal rule.
I think you have to reduce that number a bit, because some of those 93 million killed daily are actually some of the very same grandmothers being thrown over the cliff. Not wanting to overcount, Republicans actually fire semi-automatic and assault weapons at grandmothers as they fall over the edge. They think of it as a big challenge to hit those poor women as they vanish into the distance, like those old Roadrunner cartoons, into a teeny little splat about 2 miles down that you can just barely see. “Cruel” doesn’t even come close to what these evil monsters do.
And they all became hungry and homeless in just five months.
Homeless and/or Hungry? HAHAHA...yeah..I’m hungry at about 11am every single day...and then again about 4:30 pm. What a joke.
There was no problem during Obama’s Presidency. Did you ever hear of the homeless in the news? It’s because there weren’t any, and no poor people either. Just souls who couldn’t afford health insurance, so Obama made it so all of the middle class, oops I mean rich people, paid it for them. Do I need to add a sarcasm tag?
The hungry part always gets me. I always see kids dumpster diving and panhandling and begging on our streets. No one would ever want to come to this nation. That’s why I see so many overweight kids.
