BTW - I think it was the astronauts on the gray rocky desolate moon with photos of the blue earth and white clouds showed just how special the Earth is. And it was used be the greenies and the peace freaks. Although I am one conservative that is glad for some of the early work done by the environmentalists to get some controls in place and clean up things. Everything in moderation. (So calling CO2 a “pollutant” would not be in the “moderation” list. But neither is using our rivers as one’s personal chemical disposal unit.)
In this context, the article “the” is semantically equivalent to “this.” One could dispute whether this usage is appropriate to ESL lessons.
One would expect things to be pretty rough in Harlem. It is not a place to be snowflaking so to speak. This person would have found more tolerance in a supposedly conservative milieu assuming “ze” didn’t fall apart at the answers to “zis” comments about gender!
“But more than anything else I like good conversations about gender.”
If my child come home after having a “good conversation about gender” one of their teachers (soon to be former) will be missing some teeth the next day.

No! It's not everyone else. It's you! You are mentally ill. You are not okay. You need help. But instead you are getting none. You are being told that, yes, you are in fact Napoleon Bonaparte and you should dress as such in public. And anyone who has a problem with that is a bigot.
Thank you democrats for giving us this perversity. My wife and I homeschooled our 8 kids and we made a lot of mistakes. But I’m still glad we didn’t take part in public education.

I am fortunate that I get to choose my own texts and supplementary materials and make up my own lessons.
In animals, consuming things such as plastics increase homosexuality. Water from plastic containers absorb that.
