The only reason a young man leaves his phone at home is because he knows he’s not going to be needing it where he’s going. Suicide for sure.
Good point about the phone. Also may have been used to find his body, which I’m guessing he had hoped would never have been found.
That makes sense. Twelve years ago my nephew committed suicide when he was 20 years old. He left his wallet and IDs on the floor of his bedroom(I suppose he thought he might not be identified), drove his pickup to Rose Canyon in San Diego, parked off-road in the brush, and stepped onto the tracks with his back to a speeding train (according to the train engineer) that ran through the canyon.
