We can all curse, but many of us restrain ourselves. From what I have read of Washington, he usually did not swear. If I recall correctly, he actually gave a general order in 1776 that forbade swearing among his soldiers.

The point I was making, though, was that he apparently had real natural talent ... not that he frequently did so.

More to the point, though, with too many Americans, progressives in particular among them, go well beyond being a people of unclean lips (though with Isaiah’s generation I would guess it was more like bring too liberal with vows or things like “as The Lord lives” rather then actual cussing) where they are like the Clevers in Lewis’ The Pilgrim’s Regress, and give approval to the blackest of darknesses (promiscuity, perversions, murders of innocents, etc) but mock mere Brown Girls.

Yes, Trump has a foul mouth and it does him no credit.

But for those on the left to act outraged?

Truly, as I would mock them during the election, Hillary DID bad things but that doesn’t matter because Trump SAID bad things.
