Useful idiots

Thomas Sowell
May 20, 2003

Thomas Sowell

"The term 'useful idiots' has been attributed to Lenin, as a description of those mindless people in the Western democracies who would always find ways to excuse whatever the Soviet Union did. Columnist Mona Charen's new book Useful Idiots shows that such people are still with us.

Long after the Soviet Union's horrors had become too widely known around the world for their sympathizers in the West to be able to get away with whitewashing the USSR, new Communist dictatorships arose to become the new objects of the affections of the Western intelligentsia and of like-minded people in the media and in politics. ..."

I’m happy that you have spent so much time typing out things I didn’t read because you’ve already long convinced me that there is not a word you type that has not been crafted to deceive.

That you are a transparent disrupter/troll is plain as day. Find another hobby.

Odd to post this now like a breaking news situation. British MP’s statement was in 2015.

You moronic azz, Mike Pence had exactly the same warnings and concerns about an increasingly aggressive Russia in his debate remarks which I just provided for you.

Again, you are too friggin dumb to understand what you read. All you seem to know is that you have this huge man-crush on KGB/FSB Putin and that you must come to his defense every time, no matter what despicable thing he has done.

You are seriously screwed up in the head. you’re also a little *ussy for going around with that bullshit in your tagline. You’re nothing but a little punk. You probably got your butt kicked a lot in school and in the street.

Truth is, you're too dumb to understand what you read. And too much of a wussy to admit you were wrong. There is nothing admirable about you.

That’s my point. Why are we letting the Sauds pay us to be ISIS Air Force?

Saudi Arabia is a cancer upon the globe. It must be ablated.

Some are simply masters at cut and past rather than formulating a reasonable approach, defense or otherwise. The old war horses will always be “marching” and drumming their war drums because they do not understand todays world as it is, rather, like some did during the Cuban missile crisis, who could not understand that “language” is spoken not just in words and often by seemingly small gesters they cannot discern.

There you are at it again...somehow you’re twisted thinking is everyones a Russian Lover if they aren’t on war footing with Russia and full of hatred for the nation.

We all know there are many still wearing scars from history over what Russia has done in the past, and to be sure one eye open regarding Russia is just wise.....but there are always two sides to every story and a wise man hears them both before he makes an analysis. .....even in the treat of war, especially so.

I kind of have to chuckle because every nation knows ,right now, that when Trump visits them as President they better have something worthwhile to offer up front ....there will no longer be “freebees”.

As if you didn't know, as we've been through this a million times, there are people around TODAY who bear the scars of what Russia has done, under Putin. Then there are those political opponents of his who are not around, because they're dead.

Russia Ramping Up Military Drills to Cold War Levels, NATO Says

Feb 5, 2016 - FoxNews.com

Russia has stepped up its military maneuvers to a level unseen since the height of the Cold War, according to a new report released by NATO Thursday.

Jens Stoltenberg, the alliance's secretary general and author of the report, noted that Moscow has conducted at least 18 large-scale exercises over the past three years, "some of which have involved more than 100,000 troops."

"Every single day, Russian troops, Russian weapons, Russian ammunition penetrate into my country," said Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko.

Pence denies rift with Trump over Syria policy

October 12, 2016
FoxNews.com

Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence denied having any differences with running mate Donald Trump about U.S. policy in Syria after Trump appeared to contradict Pence's stance during Sunday's presidential debate.

Pence told Fox News' Bill O'Reilly on "The O'Reilly Factor" Wednesday that debate moderator Martha Raddatz had "mischaracterized" his position on the U.S. response to ongoing attacks on the city of Aleppo by Syrian government forces backed by the Russian government.

During the debate, Raddatz told Trump that Pence had said "if Russia continues to be involved in airstrikes [in Aleppo] ... United States of America should be prepared to use military force to strike the military targets of the Assad regime."

Trump responded, "[Pence] and I haven’t spoken and I disagree. I disagree."

On Wednesday, however, Pence told O'Reilly that his initial statement referred to international humanitarian "safe zones" where civilians could go to escape the fighting.

"I did say [during last week's vice presidential debate] that to secure those safe zones, we should be prepared to use military force if necessary to allow the people to evacuate Aleppo and get to those safe areas," Pence said.

"Now, the way [Raddatz] presented it, it was as though she conflated that with broader military action against the Assad regime and that’s not been Donald Trump’s position."
