“The Vatican has fired a who”
Cindy Lou Who?
Yeah. Buggering is a deep theological issue, especially while they're doing it. /sarc
The only good thing this schmuck has done, and he disavows it! Coward! No respect for Christian martyrs.
The Vatican has fired a who
As told by Dr. Seuss in “Whoville Meets The Pope”.
Hopefully by “theologian”, they mean someone who actually knows what the Bible says about a subject.
The reader of any translation knows what the Bible says about this issue, but do the theologians? Of any variety?
Note that he is only being re-moved out of his post as a theologian in the Vatican. If Rome removed all sodomite priests then it would have a lot of work on its hands.
A 2002 nationwide poll of 1,854 priests in the United States and Puerto Rico reported that 30% of Roman Catholic priests described themselves as Liberal, 28% as Conservative, and 37% as Moderate in their Religious ideology. 53 percent responded that they thought it always was a sin for unmarried people to have sexual relations; 32 percent that is often was, and 9 percent seldom/never. However, nearly four in 10 younger priests in 2002 described themselves as conservative, and were more likely to regard as "always a sin" such acts as premarital sex, abortion, artificial birth control, homosexual relations, etc., and three-fourths said they were more religiously orthodox than their older counterparts. Los Angeles Times (extensive) nationwide survey (2002). http://www.bishop-accountability.org/resources/resource-files/reports/LAT-Priest-Survey.pdf http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1141/is_2_39/ai_94129129/pg_2
The survey also found that 80% of Roman Catholic priests referred to themselves as mostly heterosexual in orientation, with 67% being exclusively heterosexual, 8% leaning toward heterosexual, 5% completely in the middle, and 6% leaning toward homosexual and 9% saying they are homosexual, for a combined figure of 15% on the homosexual class. Among younger priests (those ordained for 20 years or less) the figure was 23%. ^
As per William Tyndale;
“If God spare my life, ere many yeares I wyl cause a boy that driveth the plough to know more of the Scripture, than he doust.”
Tyndal was master of not only the language defining the English mind, but the heart also with which we speak it, won by Cromwell and spread by Nelson.
With a healthy dollop of the Holy Spirit to aid in Tyndale’s work. I do not believe that the translation is “inspired” in the same way as Scripture, but I believe that God puts the right man in the right place at the right time to do the work God wants done.
Tyndale feared the provisions of Rev 22:19.
His spirit lives on in the continued promotion and use of the Crown-authorized version of the Bible.
