Lawmakers Agree on $1.1 Trillion Spending Bill
ABC News ^ | December 9, 2014 | By DAVID ESPO and ANDREW TAYLOR

ime running short, Republicans and Democrats agreed Tuesday on a $1.1 trillion spending bill to avoid a government shutdown and delay a politically-charged struggle over President Barack Obama's new immigration policy until the new year.

The compromise will permit virtually the entire government to operate normally through the Sept. 30 end of the fiscal year, with the exception of the Department of Homeland Security.

Funds for that one agency will run out again in late winter. That will give Republicans an opportunity to try to use the expiration as leverage to force Obama to roll back a decision that will suspend the threat of deportation for an estimated 4 million immigrants living in the country illegally.

Why the Hell did I even vote this November.

To vote for conservatives and politically destroy liberal republicans so this never, ever happens again.

I did! the time I spent researching on the down-ticket (judges etc) weeding out the leftist loons and RINO's was at least 2 hrs, and for what we were still out-numbered.

I voted for a Libertarian for Congress ( who's platform was more like Ted Cruz that Ted is ) rather than the RINO Toadee the Flippin' E-GOP handed me in my district vs. the Tea Party leaning guy they spent 4 million dollars to defeat.

Aggh I could spit nails....

I didn’t vote this last election. Cornyn had a lock so I wasn’t going to waste my time and gas.

And I won’t vote ever again unless it’s to vote for a patriot who is willing to arrest, try and hang all tyrants and the tyrants’ helpers.

It doesn't happen overnight. I expect it may take over a decade to get rid of Cornyn. But he will go, to be replaced by a conservative.

The GOP-E spent a lot of money this election to defeat conservatives. They can't do that again.

By passing this bill, the GOP has effectively given away one whole year of their term and rendered themselves with no power to stop Obama doing anything he wants until next fall.

This alone will guarantee a losses for them in 2016. And it won’t be because people like democrats, it will be because they are useless.

I know you want to feel important but shouldn’t you be looking after your money, while you still can and not be distracted.

May the traitors’ children and their children be handservants and slaves of the illegal immigrants in the future and live prosperously no more, their family’s legacies and fortunes destroyed by the greed of their grandparents and the burdens they gave them.

Owebama hasn’t signed this yet has he?

He may yet find something in it to veto, I believe he wants more than what the GOP is willing to give. So we will see.

Show up at his district office repeatedly. Picket the place. Show up at his public forums, call him out for his capitulation to big government socialism

Hound his arse by writing to the local paper or online version. Build a float mocking him and run it in all the parades he is in.

Get donors to help you fund putting up billboards challenging their votes.

Those are OUR job to put their nuts in a vise and tighten when they stray. Use the Alinsky tactics against them!

They didn't need to fund this until next September - they could have simply funded it long enough to get to the next Congress. Stop making excuses for these idiots.

Don’t forget, they still use baseline budgeting. It is an immoral practice.

None of the reputable political news sites are reporting a deal yet.

They need to get it out by midnight tonight to ‘technically’ fulfil the promise to have three days to review it (the day it comes out, one day, and the day it’s voted on LOL!) before the deadline.
