At this present time there is no lessor magistrate to organize an insurrection against a government which is operating in a great fashion illegally. To undertake such a venture without a legally empowered magistrate would surely lead to anarchy. The differences between the American war for independence, the french revolution and the Russian revolution must continue to provide a gaze into how one sets to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them. This particular conflict is geographical (urban v rural) it is religious (atheist v theist)and as such it is cultural and economic. It is the sanity of gun owners that is keeping the tenuous peace and it is prima facie that the second amendment is rational and sane even in a day of high capacity magazines.

Joel will be one of the first asking the later question of, "where were the 2nd amendment proponents when we needed them". That's the question Joel won't be able to ask out loud, since he will have lost his freedom of expression, along with his 2nd amendment right. But, I doubt that Joel is libertarian, since a libertarian would be against government intrusion into our lives and into our bill of rights, which includes the 2nd amendment.

The left will run out of handouts before armed Americans run out of guns and ammo. Parasite on left violence will start first. Since the left has nothing to give, there is no reason for armed Americans to go on offense. Lock and load and pass the popcorn. The mutual attrition of parasites and the left means less targets. It’s a lot easier playing defense anyway. Socialism always fails, always.

Perhaps because they have not started hauling people off to the concentration camps, breaking down front doors to confiscate weapons, and shooting people in the streets yet. Have you noticed uprisings in other parts of the world, espeically the middle east against their oppressors. Yes! Where? In those countries where the people had access to weapons. When people are pushed far enough by the government in this nation, you may very well see it. Dont’ forget, we did have a War of Independence in our history, as well as a Civil War. They both built up over a period of time before the blood spillage began.

i think the reason for many is that they know force doesn’t convince anyone of your side, and it’ the resort of last choice. most people want to be able to defend themselves, most don’t have guns so that they can go on offense and start a revoluton.
