Collin Klein.
I predict in the current atmosphere the minority will win it.
He picked the team to beat..... Just kidding.
He did take out the Tide though. They will crush ND after a months cure.
ND fans, I don’t mean to be rude, but this isn’t even close. Manziel’s contribution far exceeds that of the LB.
Yep
He beat coach Satan and Bama. Good enough for me.
bump
The Honey Badger! Oh wait...
Honey Badger is out
No one is arguing that Teo should win BECAUSE he is on a #1 team. They are saying that the Heisman once had a tradition of including in its criteria "that player who has meant the most to his team" and Manti certainly has a lot to do with Notre Dame's achievements this year, game in and game out. It's not all about winning. It's more about the inspiration he has given this team. And on the personal character issue . . . hands down, its Teo.
You failed to give the numbers on Majors. Try again
Why? A bland statement is not a fact, nor an argument.
Do you believe that the Aggies would be anywhere without their QB?
I gave them on the voting. I have little interest in Majors. That’s your job. I made my point regarding Hornung, who was a worthy recipient. As for this year, I have a feeling it may revert to a little town in Kansas, not to Manziel or Teo. But, Teo is the better choice.
Would any team be anywhere without a quarterback? No. But most teams have one. If you want to make the Heisman an Offensive award, that is your preference. That is not the official definition of the award. I happen to think it is a team sport.
Did the LB make 90% of the tackles for ND? Did he stop 90% of all the potential td plays by the opposing offenses? Do LBs typically win over QBs with big time numbers (or even above avg numbers)? Nope.
Does it matter if I was making an argument or not? I was simply stating my opinion. This LB whatever his name is may be a great LB. And he certainly plays up for the cameras. But the proportion of his contribution to ND’s victories is not comparable to the A&M QB’s.
It is a team sport. It is meant for the most influential football player. Ready to go there?
Maybe they should, once in a blue moon. It is not defined as an Offensive award. As for Manziel, frankly, big numbers against Sam Houston State and South Carolina State just do not impress me. Nor does his arrest record.
How did T’eo do against Pitt again?
