I have a slightly different perception of the recent election than many of my friends on the political right.
I believe the Republican leadership must now be in some form of catatonic fixation about the results, seeming to believe anything but the obvious and clear: Americans reject the Republican philosophy.
In reviewing the election cycle, some things are so clear they cannot be ignored. The Republican money machine must have known from the beginning that it could not win the election on a comparison of principle or policies.
Instead, it salted the country with elected and appointed officials who distorted and impeded established voting procedures, manipulated the balloting process and attempted to disenfranchise large numbers of legal voters.
This was done in an attempt to redistribute and rebalance the vote potential from the urban to rural electorate. It failed in large part because it was transparent, every one saw it for what it was.
Looking at the facts, one has but to glance at the red- and blue-colored maps to see the base distribution for both parties. Rural America seems prone to the Republican philosophy, but cities, where business concentrates, go Democratic.
Likewise, it is a tiresome argument that there is no free lunch. Of course not. Not for anyone. Not at anytime. Those who think that our roads, police, firefighters, water, electric and communications utilities were just recently built forget it was our parents who did that. Our parents paid taxes, sacrificed their sons and fathers and husbands in times of war and national turmoil...

Sure, Democrats engaged in massive voter fraud and won.
End of story. Nothing will stop them now.
Is that “US Army, retired” or “US Army, retarded” ?
It’s Obama’s Army now
As far as I could get. Obviously the boy took a serious hit to the head at some time or another.
Factually untrue. Obama advocated re-introduction of the "assult" weapons ban.
For an informed electorate to not be able to act in its own interests when it comes to this issue is most perplexing. There's no reason, constitutional or otherwise, for not being able to establish sound, practical or reasonable gun control laws.
What part of "...the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" doesn't this "Major" understand.
I'm so scared I'm shaking. Bring it on pansy asses!
I can’t believe this guy retired as a Major. He thinks like a General.
Forward all right...off a cliff
PTSD?
“I have a slightly different perception of the recent election”
Insane Obamabots accuse Republicans of which they are most guilty. A key tactic of the left is projecting their own failures on others.
The bad economy will eventually cleanse the system of their madness. Or we’ll get nuked.
Bighead- what do you mean by that? (ignorant civvie asks)
Unifox- They did bring it. They have been bringing it for 50 years at least, they have never stopped “bringing it”, and they are and have been winning handily.
I think most Generals are the scum of the earth.
OK. BUMP
Setting aside all the other BS, let’s take a core argument...that the voters ‘rejected’ the republicans ideas. Economics can not be voted in or out. The left’s ideas are proven to fail EVERY time. When Obama was elected I argued to clueless relatives that we would soon see permanent high unemployment, slow growth and a sluggish economy, accompanied by a growing welfare state to support it. Here we are four years later with exactly that. Maybe the voters want that. Maybe the voters were fooled into the blame Bush line and Obama has not gotten the full credit for the current situation. IMO, it is a mixture of both. I know a number of people thinking we are on the verge of a four year period of a booming economy like we have never seen before.
Either way, we are in for four more years of malaise like the last four. It will be interesting to see if the people ever look past the MSM cover for the failures of the Obama years.
“Retired” at the low end of field grade officer?
It appears that even the army recognized that this guy is a loser.
This guy must have been a really bad logistics officer. In the rear with the gear. What a tool. Cities go rat because they have the highest concentration of leaches.
Plenty of liberals in the military. Take out the fighting and killing and dieing and it’s right up their alley. Especially since they started giving preferential promotion to minorities and women. Everybody dresses the same. Everybody lives in the same kind of housing. Everybody’s place in the machine is clearly laid out and defined. Everybody at a certain level makes the same money. Healthcare without paying. Then, the bullets start flying and all the socialism is for crap. If the Chinese were in Seattle, you’d see the Army loading homosexuals into the howitzers because then it becomes survival.
