Really. Im all out of compassion. I could give a hoot in hell what happens to NYC, NJ LA, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, etc. As long as those folks keep voting for liberal, welfare state politicians to lead them, they get what they deserve. Is this how conservatives think? I know you are pissed off as well as the rest of us. I'm not asking for your money or pity but please stop making a mockery of someone supposedly being a conservative.

Yes..... we are in a war inwhich we lost a big battle.
Compassion toward the Yankee enemies will result in our death. Screw ‘em. Let them freeze in the dark

I'm conservative but I don't think I should do another thing for a bunch of whiners - you had time to get prepared days and days. People in the NE did nothing just like those in NOLA but cried that big government should help them!
I say again, too bad, you've already taken my taxes to "help" with tragedies, they are helping, I guess. At least Obama did enough so that you all made it to the polls to reelect him.
I'm from the Midwest where we face tornados and floods all of the time. How many times did people from the NE hop in their cars or trucks to come out to the Midwest to help us dig our and rebuild, actually I can tell you before you scratch your head wondering -NEVER!

Let me tell you something else. I make my living traveling these United States. I’ve been to NYC area more times than I care to think about. It’s a sh*t hole. I used to start getting pissed by the time I got to Erie, on the way east.
The only upside to the flooding is perhaps the ever-present smell of stale urine will be washed away for a week or two.

.....maybe if the “folks” in those cities just tried to be self-reliant, they’d be prepared for these unfortunate eventualities......just saying.

Part of Conservatism is concept of individual choice and responsibility. The NE made a choice, and has been choosing it for years. They have chosen to be dependent on Government for aide and support. Who am I to deny them their choice?
I respect their choice and will allow them the individual freedom to fully real the consequences of those choices. However, Conservatism also states that I am limited to the consequences of my choices, and freedom from theirs.

I don't believe in collective guilt any more than I believe in collective salvation, and I, for one, hope that this new storm doesn't cause much grief. A tropical storm, last night's election results and a winter storm are not a sequence that anybody needs.
