You can call it great rebellion though it;s the first time I’ve ever heard it called that though I have never been out in CA and had your CA education but we call it many things and we here sitting here by the pool , having a few drinks, quite a few and having a laugh call it war for southern independance .

Asked already but you have not stated it yet.
Can you show me please where it states in the constitution a state has ot be forced to stay within the union please and also where the feds have a right to raise and army and invade those states.
Thank you.

BTW What do you do for fun out in CA at this time on a Saturday night?

From Article III of the Constitution, you find that the judial power is extended over controversies between states. The pretense that a state could unilaterally withdraw from the Union was a controversy. It was settled by Texas v. White.

"The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;—to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;—to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;— to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;—to Controversies between two or more States; —between a State and Citizens of another State;—between Citizens of different States;—between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects."
