This “revelation” now has me questioning the integrity of any moderator in moderating a forum. But how is one to know when the “regular” RM is on the board vs. a substitute moderator who thinks those of us perjoratively described as “anti-mormons” deserve to be flamed?

What Free Republic needs is a mediation thread. The Moderator takes the offending posts over to the mediation thread, there is an open hashout about which posts will be allowed and which will be thrown out, and then the decision is made. Out in the open. The current situation allows different mods to run their own agenda. That’s okay if it agrees with JimRob’s agenda, but how are we to know if it’s all done in secret & JimRob doesn’t have the time to chase down every mod decision or questionable post?
We will continue moderating FR that way we have been for all these years. Anyone who doesn’t like it or doesn’t trust us is free to post elsewhere. Thanks.
