...but you know that already.
What really galls you is that we dare to accept and call Jesus Christ our Savior when you have judged and condemned us already as non-Christian...or as you just decided to put it now, anti-Christian.
For you to call me anti-Christian when I sincerely and humbly profess Jesus Christ, born in Bethlehem of the Virgin Mary, taken to Egypt to escape Herod, raised in Nazareth as the step-son of a carpenter, and who spent three years in Judea teaching His gospel, choosing His deisciples and Apostles, performing miracles, turning water to wine, feeding thousands with a few loaves of bread, healing the sick, raising the dead, and ultimately suffering in the garden and on the cross for us all, to atone for our sins, to overcome death and be raised the third day...I say, if I profess that as my sincere witness and you call me anti-Christian, then there is nothing you will not strain at, and wrest and twist to try to force things to be your own way.
I pray for you Elsie, that your own love and profession of Christ Jesus and what he taught about judging others and loving others as you yourself would be loved will win out...so that you can accept others, who are your allies in Christ against the enemies we face in this nation...who are as believing in and loving of Christ every bit as much as you are, even if our interpretations of the trinity and Godhead, of how Christ organized His church (even though it it plainly stated in the Bible in the Hew testament), and what happens to us after death in His kingdom are different.
In the end, the core, essential belief is that Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, atoned for our sins and provides the only path to salvation as our Savior. That we must accept Him and take His name upon us and then try with all of our heart to live accordingly. If we do that...each of us...in the end He will show us what the other details are...and you know what? If our love for Him is true, we will each accept it, and follow Him, even if we find that we were wrong in this or that detail. It simply will not matter at that point.
No; Jeff; what galls me is that you NEVER say anything MORMON in your monologs.
You ramble on and on using 'christ' and 'jesus' and 'god' and NEVER reply to the unigue MORMON teachings about these that are SO different from what CHRISTIAINITY teaches.
I'm sorry; but your own past leaders have labled you guys non-Christian and now your CURRENT leaders want to get in the ball game. (Why am I reminded of BYU and football?)
Anti-christian?
You MORMONs?
Surely NOT!!
But YOUR 'christ' canNOT 'save' a murderer; only his (her) own blood will be sufficient for that.
LDS doctrines are the albatross around your necks. Wear it proudly and quit whining.
Is this something MORMONism has taught you?
They succeeded in killing Joseph, but he had finished his work.He was a servant of God, and gave us the Book of Mormon. He said the Bible was right in the main, but, through the translators and others, many precious portions were suppressed, and several other portions were wrongly translated; and now his testimony is in force, for he has sealed it with his blood. As I have frequently told them, no man in this dispensation will enter the courts of heaven, without the approbation of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Jun.Who has made this so?Have I?Have this people?Have the world? No; but the Lord Jehovah has decreed it.If I ever pass into the heavenly courts, it will be by the consent of the Prophet Joseph. If you ever pass through the gates into the Holy City, you will do so upon his certificate that you are worthy to pass. Can you pass without his inspection? No; neither can any person in this dispensation, which is the dispensation of the fulness of times. In this generation, and in all the generations that are to come, everyone will have to undergo the scrutiny of this Prophet. They say that they killed Joseph, and they will yet come with their hats under their arms and bend to him; but what good will it do them, unless they repent? They can come in a certain way and find favor, but will they?

You know what, Elsie? I like Jeff. I think I like Mormons more now too. You embarrass me as a Christian.
