Well, welcome to the current, past (four years ago) and future direction of the GOP —a nominee from the “moderate” fiscal and foreign policy wing of the socilaist/pervert party at the top of the ticket and an occaisonal conservative running mate to suck patriots into squandering their votes once again...
I’m done playing the game.
So done with voting AGAINST somebody.
Absolutely finished with voting for the “lesser” of two evils (debatable in this case).
I’m writing in Chuck Norris; hell, I’d write in a vote for my 3-legged dog before I’d spend a vote that good men have died for on either of these fag-pandering, baby murdering, elitist candy dates.
God Bless you for sticking with your principles, Jim.
What Jim Robinson has built (and yes, he DID BUILT IT) is truly a testament to the American system of free enterprise and his own tenacity. Starting with very little other than an idea and some sharp coding skills, Free Republic has risen to become the unchallenged voice for Constitutional Conservatism, leaving all other pretenders and also-rans in the dust. It was FR that brought Dan Rather down. It was FR that had the first news about the Columbia disaster in 2003. It was FR that broke the story about Sarah Palin being tapped for Vice President in 2008. And that's just a tiny smattering of the numerous times that Jim's Free Republic has out-hustled and out-smarted the lamestream media.
Similarly as Jim Robinson's innovative idea became a reality, he built a site that attracted a diverse (in the good, non-leftist sense of that word), intelligent assemblage of members. To name but a few, there's wardaddy whose fearless stance against political correctness shines the light of truth on liberals and their race card-playing enablers. Of course dear onyx is among the must read posters. Her unabashed stand for Conservatism (and Sarah Palin) is exceeded only by her steadfast efforts in Freepathons and the wonderful pictures she provides for our enjoyment. Last but by no means least is humblegunner whose razor-sharp wit is reminiscent of H.L. Mencken or Samuel Clemens. His outing of blogpimps has only served to enhance the quality of Free Republic's already superb content. And his grammar is impeccable although he may have omitted an apostrophe in a sentence...once...a decade or so ago.
I didn't mean to omit serveral others that have become part of my daily readings habits, but those three are among the real treasures at this pro-God, pro-liberty, pro-life and pro-gun forum where true Constitutional Conservatism has never been and never will be compromised.
