Paul Ryan, Family Man and proud of it!

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.
But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.
And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.
And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.
That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.
Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.
Yam has been a rogue for years. I guess Yam got his final brown sugaring, cinnamoning, marshmallowing, buttering, cashewing, and baking.
It would be nice if you guys showed half the disgust you show for Romney to Obama.

You have it completely backward. A conservative GOP congress will hold Obama in check, but will kowtow to a liberal Romney out of party loyalty.

I committed this whole election business to the will of God and cast it on Him. I know that God does allow less than stellar men to rule at times for His own reasons. - So, I must decide once and for all to wait on the Lord, and decide do I trust Him or don’t I. - I’ve prayed early on, “God help us! You see what kind of man is exalted to a position of almost dictatorship in this country; this is not right. Most of all, Thy will be done!” - Am praying about Romney/Ryan, don’t know yet what sort of a stink Hussein and minions will stir up during the next couple of months. Scripture does say in the Psalms that the “wicked walk on every side when evil men are exalted”.

Best advise, pray, ask Our Lord if He is truly present in the Holy Eucharist. Belief in the Eucharist is really the way...start at the top.

Jim, as a born-again Christian, who has studied the major doctrines of the Bible extensively and has read it from cover-to-cover seven times, I agree that Mormonism is false teaching by a false prophet, however, it isn’t his Mormonism that Romney is or will be touting, it’s his politics. And the politics that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are touting is not anti-American, anti-religious, anti-freedom, anti-business, racism. Yet, this is Barack Obama’s politics and those policies are destroying our country and destroying our freedoms. And yes, I would rather have a RINO Mormon in the White House, than a Marxist/Socialist/Communist/Muslim, illegal alien, thug in the White House.
Jim, should everyone with a car, park it or sell it, because the oil used to run them, enriches entire nations of America-hating, Allah worshiping, terrorists? Where does it end? If we avoid everything and everyone that is contrary to the scriptures, we would have to, as the Apostle Paul said, “Go out of the world.” Remember, Jesus said to let the wheat and the tares grow together... Sorry this crap is still going on, Mr. Robinson. You have been clear and consistent as far as I can see.
You don’t support Mittens but you tolerate those who do as long as they don’t harass those who do not. You have been clear about why you don’t support Mittens...gun control, abortion, homosex social and legal dominance, socialized medicine, support of bankster bailouts (fascism, debt) and more. These are the opposite of everything conservatives stand for both economically and socially. Obama, too, is everything we beleive in turned up-side-down.
Mormonism is discussed under the rules of the religious moderator who was consistent in not permitting personal attacks- only discussion of the theology. I have not seen violations of that go unaddressed. Mormonism has a lot in the closet that comes out on here and that is not “hate.” It is not bigotry, either, because bigotry implies ignorance of the topic/group and the people discussing Moronism are not ignorant of the topic they are discussing and they support their statements with facts. Rinos demanded no one mention Mitt’s Mormonism during the election; trying to pull another rule of political correctness to protect a dark place or a secret. You made clear that you were not obeying this nonsense. A president’s faith does matter in his character. In Mitt case, it adds up to fascism in practice.
Anyway, I am sorry this election has brought about so much turmoil on Free Republic. Hope it settles down! We’re here, we’re not queer, get used to it! :)
