Mitt Romney's week-long international trip resulted in unrelentingly negative coverage from the big three broadcast networks, a stark change from the glowing press awarded to then-candidate Barack Obama's world tour in 2008. While "MSM" pr0mod Obama rock star (from the Associated Press: "It's not only Obama's youth, eloquence and energy that have stolen hearts across the Atlantic...."), Romney endured a focus on gaffes and the trivial.

Networks That Fawned Over Obama's World Tour Mock Romney's International 'Blunders'...just goes to show how irrelevant the conventional wisdom networks are - according to Rasmussen, among likely voters exactly the same percentage -44% - think Romney is best qualified to deal with our allies as think Obama is......

Yeah, Obama’s 2008 ass-kissing tour made us the laughing stock of the world.

Let’s not forget his ignorance of protocol when he proposed a toast to the Queen and ended up speaking over the music. That was the same trip where he signed in with the wrong date, off by three years

Oh, those Romney “gaffes” sure were devastating. You know that one where he said he didn’t know if Britain’s Olympic games security was perfect. What an absolutely awful statement. I don’t know how Britain will survive after that. And that one about the Israeli’s culture having a lot to do with their success. Can you imagine anyone saying something so terrible? I surely can’t. (snicker)
