The Roberts' court ruling appears to be opening the eyes of more than a few on the right that the Constitution cannot limit the scope of Federal power which now only the willfully blind see as limited. And given the fresh memories of the Bush administration fewer yet see salvation in the Republican Party.
It will be interesting to see where the people turn. A return to the founding principles rooted in state sovereignty is a possibility but is by no means assured. History suggest a decent into totalitarianism more likely. But the American people have surprised before.

Seems so.
We already have a Constitution written. Repeal the tax amendment and you have the makings “in order to form (an even more) perfect union...”
My only worry would be the secession would create 100 different “boss hog banana republics” instead of a pre-1913 free America.
