Praise God! Trayvon's Mom Reacts To Zimmerman Bond Revoked (DETAILS)
The Global Grind ^ | June 1, 2012 | The Decider

Posted on 06/01/2012 1:16:33 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Trayvon Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump spoke on the recent news of George Zimmerman’s bond being revoked earlier today by Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester.

Judge Lester ruled that Zimmerman has at least 48 hours to turn himself into police after it was revealed that Zimmerman’s wife misled the court about the funds he was receiving through PayPal donations.

Upon hearing that Zimmerman’s bond had been revoked, Crump said:

"This is such an important ruling today because once again George Zimmerman's credibility is the issue… he should remain in custody until there is a trial....Judge Lester’s ruling in this matter is so important because it causes everyone to focus on Zimmermant’s credibility.

This is crucial when it is only Zimmerman’s testimony that Trayvon attacked him and all the objective evidence says he perused, confronted, and shot Trayvon."

Trayvon's courageous family spoke out on the matter as well. In a simple tweet, Trayvon’s mom wrote “Praise God,” while his brother Jahvaris Martin tweeted:

“Zimmerman has been locked back up. I hope he stays in jail. Children will be much safer.”

Prosecutors contest that Zimmerman told his wife, Shelley Zimmerman, about PayPal donations he was receiving while in jail and that she lied in the bond hearing about being aware of these funds.

But that’s not all; it was also revealed that Zimmerman had a second passport in addition to the one he surrendered to police after he was released on $150,000 bond.

The prosecution went on to say that Zimmerman "intentionally deceived the court" with his wife and talked about monies received "in code to hide what they were doing."

On the issue of Zimmerman's passport, the prosecution said:

"Zimmerman surrendered had been reported lost or stolen. He didn't turn over new, valid one."

On the issue of the money Zimmerman received in donations, prosecutors contend:

"This court was led to believe that they didn't have a single penny" saying that Zimmerman called his wife from jail before bond hearing & "repeatedly tells her about the money."

Lawyers for the state believe that Zimmerman's wife is guilty of contempt of court for lying and asked for Zimmerman's bond to be revoked, raised and for him to be sent back to jail.

Contempt of court usually results in a maximum of 6 months in jail.

The judge declared that Zimmerman’s wife had lied and decided to revoke Zimmerman’s bond. He has at least 48 hours to turn himself into police.

Lawyers on both sides were in Sanford today deciding whether or not to release key pieces of evidence and make them public to the media. In the end, the judge ruled to issue an order on evidence in 30 days. And no new evidence was released today.

I don’t believe a thing I hear from the mainstream media. They lie.

OTOH this is Florida, the same state that allowed Terry Sciavo to be murdered.

"It will be Ft. Sumter when Zimmerman is acquitted. Regardless of who occupies the White House, there will be riots in the streets."

I don't think he will be acquitted. One of three things is more likely IMO. One, he will plead to a lesser charge because of the threat of pretrial jail and jail for his wife; or two, he will be killed in jail, or three, he will be convicted because it will be made plain to the jurors that their own safety and any normal lives will depend on a guilty verdict.

I see this issue as fault on every side. First, Zimmerman did probably overstep what the dispatcher told him and followed Tray around when he should have done otherwise and returned to his vehicle. Tray got angry at being followed and did what HE should not have done either in attacking Zimmerman. Then of course the wife lied. So all three have made a bad situation the worst it could be for everyone.

Malleable and corrupt judge subverts the law, throws a bone to the Black mob.

End of story.

You have zero evidence that he misled anyone.

This is a political show trial, not an attempt to do justice. The solid evidence is all in Zimmerman’s favor.

Why would he have a second passport? These things have a “time” to them. Is it expired??

That idiotic idea has been shown to be totally false, and no rational person would coddle it.

It has been proved that he did NOT keep following Martin, he said OK when the dispatcher told him they didn't need him to follow the guy and he said he was returning to his truck. He was on the way back when Martin jumped him. There is only one person to blame in this mess and that is Trayvon "the thug" Martin.

Well, Zimmerman is a Democrat, so this isn’t a surprise.

Punishment first, trial later. Crump has been very consistent on this.

They’re just a couple of feeble old crackers. They’ve had enough time on Earth, time for them to shove off and allow the Amish a chance to breathe for awhile.

(do I HAVE to /s?)

This should be worth another $75 in the coffers this week for the Martin’s Trayvon for sainthood tour. They can claim that they need to keep Zimmerman locked up so that he can’t depose all those witnesses who just might expose Trayvon as the aggressor and the hoodie that he was.

I hope someone is keeping track of the time off the mother has had donated to her. One article said it’s 34 weeks. That’s income she wouldn’t have had, and she’d better be paying taxes on it. I wonder how forthcoming she’ll be on her tax returns next year.

She is currently being paid by her job even though not there. The other employees are donating their vacation time back to the company so that it can continue to pay her while she travels around on the Deny Justice For Zimmerman tour.

"She is currently being paid by her job even though not there."

Yes, and she will need to claim that time off/pay as income, and pay taxes on it.

It's interesting to note that most government agencies set a limit on the amount of time you can take off from work for emergencies, family illnesses, deaths, etc. They've thrown it out the window for her. They also limit you to the amount of time you can accrue. I retired from NY State in 2003. At that time, you could only accrue 1000 hours of sick leave, and if I remember correctly, 6 weeks of vacation. Once you reached those limits, you could not earn anymore time until you used some of it to get the numbers down. She's being given 34 weeks of leave...something no other employee gets the benefit of. And, they've set a terrible precedent. Are they going to refuse the next person who has a similar thing happen in their family?

the threat of ... jail for his wife

Good point. In high profile cases, particularly involving the federal government, DOJ seems to come up with charges aimed at family members to soften up their target. I wouldn't be surprised if the DOJ guys have been sharing their advice with the Florida prosecutors.

Always avoid having family members make any statements at all unless they are thoroughly vetted by counsel, and absolutely essential.

Other employees at her agency (she’s a government employee) supposedly contributed time-off to her “voluntarily” so she could travel from protest to protest and from church to church collecting funds for justice.

New York State has a voluntary leave donation program, but it was only allowed for individuals who have used up their own leave time, and suffer from a serious/terminal illness or have been severely injured in an accident. We were only allowed to donate sick time, not vacation time or personal leave. No one would be approved for the program just so they could publicize their kid’s death.
