The same people who laughed at marriage and called it only a piece of paper, finally got their way and now it is commonly accepted, almost expected that people will cohabitate. What used to be only for Hollywood types and real trash, has become accepted in the middle class. So now that they have achieved their goal in that way, they want to turn around and say that marriage is the most important thing in the world. So which is it? JUST a piece of paper and nobody’s business, or ESSENTIAL to one’s happiness and dignity?
