Your record is meaningless in the light of your clearly and frequently presented sympathy for what the nazis did to millions of innocent men, women and children.
All it does is remind the civilized among us that fascist bastards can be found everywhere.
You have left no doubt that were this 1938 you would be on the other side from the rest of us.
I think you have confused Jumper’s looking for clues as to what caused Hitler to wipe out 6 million Jews with “sympathy”. And MORE importantly perhaps, what are the causes and circumstances for the German people allowing it to happen. It is obvious from Jumper’s post that he does not agree with Hitler’s views - but trying to understand where those views came from.
My 8th grade daughter did a video presentation on the Holocaust, and from the questions her class asked (it was a parent’s night thing) it was clear that they did not know about the Holocaust.
Questions like “How could you kill 6 million people - that’s a lot of people.” (To me sounding like the kid didn’t think it was true). “How come nobody stopped him”. And most importantly “How was this allowed to happen?”.
And I agree with others that to put Hitler (or Stalin, or Mao, or Pol Pot,.....) in the category of an evil monster is to minimize the role of the society that allowed them to gain power in the first place.
What type of soil is OUR society of today creating and what might spring up from it? Or should I say has sprung up from it.
