Palin: I Know What Cain Is Going Through
Fox ^ | 12-2-11 | Palin

Posted on 12/02/2011 2:12:58 PM PST by VinL

SNIP if the media only gave as much scrutiny to Obama in 2008, you got to wonder if there might have been a different outcome. He's so adamant in his denial, though, and that's why I was a little surprised when he said -- it's not a time to play detective. But it seems to me that this charge, 13 years, if he's flying women around the country and he's showing up in hotels with them over this long period of time, that this is easily proven or disproven. No?

PALIN: Yes. And maybe I'm a little bit more sympathetic to what Herman Cain is going through right now, because as you suggest, you know, I've been through it also.

I have had people who have sworn on a Bible that they have had affairs with Todd or had affairs with me or one specific one was a masseuse that she massaged me when I was seven months pregnant and she could tell that I wasn't pregnant, hence, Trigg was not my kid. And that resulted in this whole Trigg truther issue that I still deal with every day.

I've had these liars out there trying to ruin my family and my reputation and my record. So I know what Herman Cain is going through. But again, as I say --

HANNITY: Yes, we don't know.

PALIN: -- if he did engage in these improprieties and is misleading the public, well, that's a whole other story then.

Duncan Hunter was 1st rate in my book. Mr. Cain said he ran because of divine inspiration— I hope that revelation continues to weigh on his mind as he makes this final decision.

I want to make a confession to my fellow FReepers, so everyone will know the power of our enemy, the MEDIA.

Even though I've been on FR since 2003, I wasn't active on here during our election cycle in 2008. I had recently moved to the New Orleans area, and I happened to be working for the City of New Orleans, so I was surrounded by a different set of political beliefs than I had been used to. (Read: VERY pro-Obama.)

But since I wasn't active on FR, all of my information about the campaign was coming from co-workers and mainstream media sources — TV and some newspaper.

I am absolutely guilty of believing the media's portrayal of Sarah Palin. I thought McCain was on crack for pulling a “complete unknown” as his running mate. I believed Trigg was actually Palin’s daughter's child, and that Palin was claiming it was Palin’s child to deflect from her daughter sleeping around out of wedlock, etc.

Make no mistake, I voted for McCain, because anything was better than Obama.

But that is the power of the media. I believed their crap. Because I didn't have any contradictory information (by reading FR). Lots of people believe their crap. Look at how many FReepers - active FReepers - are believing the MSM crap about Cain. The general public is easily swayed. Like Palin said, once the bell has been rung, it's very difficult to unring the bell. Cain will have to pull off a miracle to turn this around. But it's possible... so we'll see what happens in the next couple days, and then the next few weeks.

Mrs. Cain is key.

Lin Wood is key.

Cam, my apologies. I actually tried to “ping” you- but I keep on stupidly writing “BigCam” instead of “BagCam”- and the name was rejected. I don’t suppose you would consider changing to BigCam? -:)

If Mr. Cain continues, he should employ the Clinton tactic- immediately sue each and every women who emerges without material evidence- and then tell the media that he can’t comment because the matter is in litigation.

Clarence Thomas is our best justice (even a little better on federalism than Scalia). If he hadn’t gone through what he did in his confirmation hearings, I wonder if he’d be as strong as he has been. This may just make HC stronger.

What we need, as much as a president who clearly sees the importance of constitutional principle, is one who stands by it regardless of the lies and cheap shots the Left will take. They never stop attacking, so if we are to have any chance of advancing conservatism instead of merely deciding how quickly to retreat, our candidate has to be someone who can handle the worst they have to offer. Cain and his supporters are being tested as much as anyone has been. I think this will turn out well.

You are so sweet to be concerned. I am 80 years old, and half blind. I have to read my pc holding a magnifying glass. I know I make typos for which I am sorry, but though I need a cane in order to walk, my mind is especially sharp and my vision crystal clear. I have worked hard for the Republicans in the last l4 presidential elections and served many years as a GOP Precint Committee Officer.

Thank you for calling attention to what you found wrong in my post. I do the best I can.

P.S. By vision I refer to not eyesight, but trends, and right now we are in peril of becoming the United Soviet
States Republic.

I believe this to be very possilbly our last chance to take our country back. I have said elsewhere that we must also
increase the number of conservative Senators. I believe there are 12 Democrats who will be seeking re-election in 2012. A very important election.

No one man can do the job which must be done alone.

Soros can funnel a cool $500,000 under the table to someone to make wild accusations to deliberately character-assassinate someone they deem a danger to their marxist agenda.

I doubt Soros had to spend anywhere near that much to buy what we've seen. I don't believe a single one of them and not Gloria Allred either. Even if Cain drops out, I don't believe them. Not one!

I stand with Cain and if he drops out, I'll be sad but I won't blame him. I hope Gloria stands with him too, but that's not my decision or my business.

Oh come on, you were checking him out, shallow but we are all only human! I agree he is by far the most attractive of the bunch. Beats looking at Newt or Ron Paul, doesn’t it? So you are drawn by his looks, I am drawn by his plan for America.

Welcome to the United Soviet States of America..where the Pravda State Media “vet” the candidates to the pleasure and needs of the RinoCrat UniParty.

This “election” will be a non-election...featuring the state approved “candidates”-whose only distinction is whether they are black or white.
