I think one of the main mistakes people make when trying to figure out who/what Zero is, is clinging to the myths in Dreams. Best way to approach his actual identity is to GIVE UP all pre-conceived Dreams “facts” and start from scratch, using only what has surfaced via research. If what has surfaced via research is supported by Dreams, than it means Dreams has a small kernal of truth here and there. But from what I read on FR (couldnt stand to read Dreams), such kernels of truth are few and far between.
Dreams is primarily an advertisement - propaganda - a fake backstory - and clinging to it blinds people to facts. They reject research findings out of hand just because it disagrees with Ayers’ advertisement.

Most people can’t tell where ‘Dreams’ begins and the obot articles start.
For example, the book never mentions Mercer Island High School, all it says is the Dunhams moved to Seattle so SAD could finish high school...enter a whole bunch of ‘classmates’ and some very strange looking images.But out of some 392 students enrolled at MIHS during that time, not a single yearbook can be found.
The book doesn’t mention SAD living in Seattle with a baby...I still see articles that follow the ‘Dreams’ storyline that the kenyan ‘abandoned them when the child was two years old’
BUT ‘ANNA’ WAS DISCOVERED LIVING IN SEATTLE BEFORE THE KENYAN LEFT HAWAII IN JUNE 1962.
I could go on and on...but I won’t.

Sorry for a momentary distraction, but thinking about the sutitle to Bari’s book ... “a story of race and inheritance.” In terms of citizenship, this makes Obama a self-admitted British-Kenyan, not a U.S. citizen. And for those obots who complain about race all the time ... that’s Bari in his own words, not that of the skeptics.
Barack Obama was once a citizen of Kenya. You read that right, Obama had Kenyan citizenship until 1982. Here is the startling admission published in Fight the Smears (emphasis mine):
