It seems that activity in these blogs and in the letters forums certainly picked up when discussing the fortunes of the former governor of Alaska. We leftists were spared no amount of scorn and ridicule due to our criticism of Sarah Palin. Of course it was never made to clear how our criticism of Palin is any different from the vitriol directed towards Nancy Pelosi or Barbara Boxer in these same forums, but that is another topic.
I am writing this post, because today just might mark a key turning point in the political fortunes of Sarah Palin. It would seem that we folks on the left are no longer the only ones who are starting to grow a tad weary of her.
Redstate.com is a conservative, even borderline hard-core right wing web site. The proprietor is a man named Erick Erickson who today expressed his own frustration with Palin's ongoing will-she or won't-she run saga that makes Hamlet look downright decisive. But the point is that he did not do it with straight-ahead political commentary, he used the kind of mocking ridicule he usually reserves for liberals.
When the head honcho of a leading conservative website is openly mocking you, perhaps your 4 years and 15 minutes of fame is almost over? Anyway, that's my last word on the former governor. If right wing websites are making fun of her, there is nothing else for us leftists to say, except that once again Mark Twain was proven right when he said, "it is the radical who creates the ideas, then when those ideas are worn out, the conservative adopts them".
So to all of you die hard Palin fans out there, it is no longer just us leftists for whom Palin is more annoying than anything else. Take a look and see what at least one fellow conservative has to say about Palin. Also note how he refers to her supporters as a "cult".
We leftists should now just shut up about Palin. Conservatives have adopted yet another one of our ideas. I know I am breaking my own rule about citing opinion blogs as sources. But when my point is that a specific opinion is no longer exclusive to the left, it somehow seems appropriate.

BREAKING NEWS: PALIN SUPPORTERS CLAIM SHE NEVER SAID IT OR MEANT IT OR SOMETHING
There is movement within the cult. They are mad as hell at us for pointing out Governor Palin set this as her own drop dead date.
I was kind of wondering about your bizarre fascination.
Hussein’s lapdogs are a CULT. Sarah’s fans may be die hards, but they’re not a cult. Sarah’s candidates are WINNING...she is CREATING WINNERS in society. Hussein is creating dependents and leeches.
The cult is definitely in the realm of Hussein, not dear Sarah.
It’s weird because the other night on Judge Napolitano on FOX she said there would be no announcement today.
Maybe Erick’s paymasters don’t fork over enough cash to pay for cable?
Erick jumped the shark a long time ago - he has been attacking every conservative currently running, as well as Palin.
Makes you go, “Hmmm.”
Or maybe he’s too busy getting story ideas at Daily Kos and Democratic Underground to watch TV?
In the mean time the same whiners continue to call for Chris Christie to run. Its not too late for him to run they tell us. His on and off again decision is not a sign of indecisiveness
Erickson’s blog has been a tad annoying lately. It’s as if a combination of Romneybots and one or two Perry supporters (or maybe they are Huntsman people) took over redstate.
I simply don’t understand what got them so worked up. Reading that blog, you’d think there is nothing going on.
Its funny that when Sarah Palin says nothing about running the RINOS and liberals are in an uproar, calling her a tease..but when Mike Huckabee and Chris Christie go back and forth between running and not running, running and not running, no one says a word
Working for a Swedish company really inures you to loudmouth drunk zipperheads.
On the upside, I can translate technical swenglish. Mostly.

What absolutely fries their head is if we mention God!
So I won’t...
This has gotten SO STUPID and CHILDISH.
These people act like they are her masters. She’s a private individual with HER life-changing choice ahead of her. She’s not a liar or simply opportunist. So she is making money on the books about her own life or as a commentator from HER life’s experience - SO WHAT.
She knows that people can and will have to make THEIR OWN DECISIONS about moving on or donating to someone else. That’s called Life and that’s HER price SHE’d pay for the delay.
But WE ARE SO VOID OF GETTING A LIFE that our worlds will fall apart if someone doesn’t do such and such. This I say as in my heart feeling Sarah is THE antithesis to all things Obama. I respect Cain as well and both situations I pray that God will guide and lead and empower whomever HE wants to turn this country back.
It’s just amazing how selfish and childish so many are and the tantrums they are throwing.
Perfect spoiled brat girl image.
Funny how that works.
Now why don’t we talk about YOUR bizarre obsession with the ex-Governor and VP candidate( who might I remind you, had approval ratings of over 90% while governor)? There is hardly a Palin thread that you don’t pollute with your vitriol.
Was Erik the guy that went to work for CNN as a commentator? I recall back then there was talked that maybe Erik have turned traitor. This was long before any talk of Palin came along. I remember defenders of his used to say, not to fear, he’s just going there to spread our message
redstate does not suffer fools gladly, reportedly. Who does?
If they do, for how long? Many have a shorter tolerance for foolishness than others. Confucious.
On the subject of Sarah, it seems leaders lead, rather than procrastinate over phantom musings, hint at doing battle while hiring on in places where it can be avoided. Leaders can actually make up their mind, look at a clock, a calendar, and a map, all this as opposed to chinese tea leaves. The lady has now increasingly become a caricature of herself. In every way but Palin, redstate is a conservative activist site, who is unitimidated and therefore willing to take on someone who, in their opinion, is a distraction from the mission—winning the general election.
