Sarah Palin on “The Bob & Mark Show” in Alaska at 930am PST 9/16/11?

In the final episode of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” on TLC — which Governor Palin herself produced and had complete creative control over — the Governor promised to let Bob and Mark know, on the air, when she decides to run for president. Since the Governor personally chose to have that bit included in the episode, there has to be a reason for this.

“The Bob and Mark Show” broadcasts Monday through Friday. Though tomorrow is Constitution Day, today’s when Constitution Day is observed in most of the country. It’s also a day when “The Bob and Mark Show” broadcasts.

Many believe the Governor will announce her presidential bid on the show today — since she appears to indeed be scheduled as a guest at 930am PST…which is 1130am CST and 1230pm EST.

I have no idea what will happen on the show, but I’m going to tune in just in case.

If you hear anything else pertaining to this, please share the info in this thread.

It sure is interesting the Governor is booked on this show, today of all days, since restoring respect for the Constitution is one of the main planks in what’s presumed to be the Governor’s presidential platform.

Tune into “The Bob & Mark Show” to see what happens!

********************************************************

PS: I’ve been trying for a few weeks now to determine if Governor Palin has any public events scheduled for Constitution Day (observed today, or tomorrow 9/17/11). I have not been able to turn up anything, which is intriguing in itself.

We don’t know what this means yet — if anything — but I’m sure going to listen to “The Bob & Mark Show” to see if she’s really going to be on, and to listen to what the Governor says if she does in fact appear on the show.

****************************************************************

UPDATE: It looks like the source of this rumor is Simon Conway, who is a drive time radio host in Iowa, who said on Facebook that he saw something posted at a Palin supporting group about the Bob & Mark appearance before it was taken down. Conway seems like he wanted to be the first to say she was going to announce today, so he would get the attention that would come with that.

Looking at the GOP schedule of debates, though, I don’t know what to think to be honest. Rick Perry loses more steam every debate, and the next debate is not until September 22nd. It sure keeps with Governor Palin’s past announcements to declare her candidacy on a symbolic day like Constitution Day…but it also seems like part of her strategy to keep allowing Perry to further implode before she joins the race.

We all know the moment Governor Palin announces, she’ll be the sole focus, and guys like Perry won’t get the vetting and media attention they need as her opponents.

The debate after the 22nd is in October, on a day when the Governor is scheduled to give a speech on economics in Korea. Technically, she could fly back in time to participate in the debate, since she’d make up time on the 14 hour flight back to the States, though I don’t know if she’d be inclined to do this.

It seems odd for her to participate in the September 22nd debate, but then skip the one on October 18th, and then rejoin the group a debate after that…unless her intention is to begin participating in the debates after the 18th.

That would give her opponents two appearances on the stage without her to attack her, and I don’t see her allowing that to happen though.

I think even the Governor’s detractors need to admit she’s a masterful strategist who keeps everyone guessing. She really brings great excitement to American politics. Honestly, my boyfriend Justin asked what I was typing so late and I told him, and now he’s too excited to sleep and has actually woken his mother up in Arkansas to tell her to listen to this radio show. I told him not to do this, but he’s excited at the mere prospect of Governor Palin announcing today.

I don’t think even Mittens Romneycare’s own family are excited by anything he does. Let alone complete strangers.

Can you imagine someone like Justin calling his mother long distance in the middle of the night, waking her up, just to tell her there’s a chance Mitt Romney could be on an obscure radio show in Alaska later that morning — and that she would be excited and happy he did this?

Although I do think she is toying with her supporters

Was Reagan "toying with his supporters" when he announced in November 1979?

Isn't it possible that Sarah has some strategic & tactical reasons for delaying?

Maybe McGinniss book may have a little something to do with her timing? How could she know in advance how the book would play out in the MSM, or with the public?

It’s not a kilt. It’s a plaid.

Technically you are correct..unless it is Utilikilt or (my fav) Amerikilt. The average American just calls 'em all kilts and in some of the rougher watering holes I've visited "Hey, look at the jerk in a skirt!"

FWIW in those places they now refer to them as kilts, hehehe!

Really screwed their minds when my buds and I started watching "Bonanza" at the bar and wearing western gear!

Obviously people today blindly followed a rumor, but a rumor which (as I understand it) she gave original life to by saying on her TV show that she would announce on the Bob and Mark show.

So maybe she isn’t to blame for today’s events, but she is definitely to blame for the focus on the Bob and Mark show - and thus for creating a condition where rumors can spread like wildfire.

Her desperate supporters are grasping...grasping for anything. Just waiting for something.

And that something ain’t coming. When we get to the end of September, it will revert to the new mid-October deadline. And so on.

(But if she does run, more power to her. If she can pull the field to the right, great! I’m all for that!).

Doesn’t sound like Palin supporters, sounds like Perry supporters pretending to be Palin supporters. Heard the same thing right here on FR.”

ok. you are probably right: no “true” Palin supporter will ever leave the team.

Agreed. Addressing every rumor could get exhausting.

I thought she may announce today. She didn't so I'll continue to wait for her decision.

It will never get to his desk because there will be no repeal bill. He’ll issue some executive order suspending the most obnoxious parts of zerocare, leaving the rest intact.

There will still be a majority of libs and squishes in the Senate, so they’ll compromise in allowing zerocare to stay. It might get trimmed back, but it will NOT be repealed in a Perry administration.

Bill by bill, he will play along to get along - as you said, pushed by the permanent political class in congress who will set the agenda - and with the most abhorrent parts gone, there will be insufficient political will to undo it.

To get rid of zerocare, Bachmann is right: it needs full repeal. To get full repeal through the senate, it will take a full-court political press.

Exhibit A - Trans Texas Corridor
In 2006, both the Texas Republican and demonrat parties added planks to their party platforms to kill TTC, Perry’s pet project. Over their objections and along with cronies in the legislature, Perry kept the project alive and moving forward. He removed some of the most objectionable parts. This is why Debra Medina ran against him from the right. It finally partially died in 2009. As of 2010, it is officially dead, yet many of the private toll-roads originally part of the plan are still being built - financed by Goldman-Sachs, built by Zachry, and exclusively operated by Cintra.

The permanent political class will not give up zero care.

There’s a difference between leaving the team and acting like a 2 year old.

On the timing question, I actually agree with you.

I’m dead certain she’ll run, but I think she will wait as long as possible this month, to avoid reporting any fundraising numbers until January.

I could see her jumping in right before the next debate...she’d be the only one prepared to debate everybody, the others would be caught flat-footed.

Did she say today? No. Palin stated nothing. People acted on assumptions they made because of an unsubstantiated rumor. That's their fault. Not hers.

And that something ain’t coming. When we get to the end of September, it will revert to the new mid-October deadline. And so on.

You have no basis for such a statement. She has never done such a thing. She gave her time frame in August. She will NOT be pushed. Frankly I wouldn't support her if she could.

It will never get to his desk because there will be no repeal bill. He’ll issue some executive order suspending the most obnoxious parts of zerocare, leaving the rest intact.

If there is no repeal bill and the bill is not overturned by the Supreme Court then whoever is president is sworn to "faithfully execute the laws of the United States". IOW the president is duty bound to enforce the laws, even those laws that he finds to be obnoxious.

We do not have a dictatorship (although Obama seems to think we do). We are a constitutional republic and the powers of the president are limited and his duties to faithfully execute the laws are duties which the president swears to abide by when he takes the oath of office.

So if Perry issues some executive order countermanding the provisions of the law which he finds objectionable, then he will have violated his oath of office and he will be acting as a dictator.

We have three choices on stopping Obama care:

1) We can get congress to pass a bill overturning it. 2) We can get the Supreme Court to overturn it.

3) We can elect a putative dictator who will undermine it through executive orders in violation of his oath of office.

The permanent political class will not give up zero care.

Then we are going to have to change that. But anyone who thinks that the President of the United States should have the right to singlehandedly undo the laws of the United States instead of faithfully executing them is making the case for a very strong executive branch with dictatorial powers.

Is that what you really want?

Somehow, announcement timing is only a factor to be considered against Sarah.

I hope you don't mind my jumping in, it's the unelectable factor that eliminates her for me. I have no doubt that she would push a conservative agenda and seek to punish the corrupt. Her personal life is a positive testimony to her character. However, the media and entertainment industry have successfully driven her negatives so high the independents will not vote for her. Also, and most importantly, when she resigned she sealed her fate.

We need to win this election.

We need to win this election.

Suppose George W. Bush was allowed to run again and got the 2012 Republican nomination...

would you vote for him KNOWING he would increase the size of Fed Govt and would massively increase the debt and would support corporate bailouts?

Just winning this election is not enough. We must not elect another Big Govt, go along to get along RINO. That would be 95% as bad as re-electing Obama!

If there is no repeal bill and the bill is not overturned by the Supreme Court then whoever is president is sworn to "faithfully execute the laws of the United States".

The biggest issue on repeal will be how to get it to the floor of the Senate. We only have one candidate running that there is a concern about repealing obamacare with, Romney.

I think our best bet is the SCOTUS if it doesn't get done there I'm not sure how we get it past 40 Rat Senators.
