So then you I assume you also expect to find a genetic basis for bisexuality, pedophilia, bestiality, rape, murder, etc… Just as there are many ‘studies’ that infer that homosexuality may have a biological basis, I have also seen many studies that claim the same for other sorts of behavior as well. The fact is that homosexuality is a behavior just as these other actions are.

and regrading behaviors stemming from inherited or physical damage, yes, some may be. Twin studies show a lot of innocuous behaviors that seem to be a function of the genetics of the individual. Most of us know kids or families who seem to have inherited even things like preferences for foods and colors, and even behaviors.
there may be a mental disorder or abnormality to cause (or contribute) to many (not all) of the violent and perverted acts you describe. Also the co-morbidity of alcohol and drug abuse.
We all know of good families that produce a bad seed, and dysfunctional families that seem to perpetuate that dysfunction from generation to generation
Criminal behavior has long been studied for a basis in brain biology and chemistry, pre birth or brain damage after birth
Why would anyone be even faintly hostile to the possibility of biological bases to some violent acts, and to continuing research to find them?
Too inconvenient to some religious views or rigid values that consider human behavioral flaws as personal failings based on conscious personal decisions that can be punished out of people?? Afraid that people will escape personal responsibility if their behaviors and acts are proven to stem from an illness or physical abnormality?

Doesn’t mean if you inherited and acted out violent behaviors you sholdn’t be locked away forever to protect society! For example, whatever the cause, it is my understanding, pedophilia is never curable. Maybe controllable, but not cured. Like alcoholism.
