Well, I don’t know if this deserves a serious answer or not.

But I half agree with you.

Palin will run as a Republican if the party comes around and starts making sense. She did so in Alaska, twice, and beat out corrupt Republican insiders for Mayor and Governor.

If the media and the party insiders refuse to let that happen, however, then I agree. She will run as the Second Party candidate, and the Republican Party will be finished.

When the Republicans replaced the Whigs in 1860, because the Whig party was simply too corrupt to survive any longer, a lot of the best former Whigs came over and joined the new Republican Party. I imagine that would happen again. If the Roves and other insiders refuse to let reform into the party, then a lot of the best Republicans would probably come over, sooner or later, to the new party.

It would take someone like Sarah to do this. I think she has the capability to do it. And nobody else does.

But she won’t do it unless she has to. Still, I agree. She is leaving that door open, in case the GOP decides to commit suicide rather than change.

The Whig party only lasted 21 years. It wasn’t like they were almost 160 years old.

I disagree with the notion that there is some hidden secret control mechanism that the GOP establishment can use to control the selection of the nominee. The delegate selection process is what it is. It’s ridiculous to claim that Bachmann and Cain are puppets of Rove. It’s strange that on the one hand some Palin supporters are saying that when she’s in she will dominate and the contest will be over, and other saying she will need to go third party. There ster apparently more subtle forms of PDS out there than the one Chris Matthews has.

You said it better than I could have.

When people start asking and demanding the 'best for the country,' instead of voting and staying in the 'best party' mentality...then and only then are we truly ready to save America from itself.

It is voting the party-line BS that has gotten us into this mess, into this soft tyranny, dominated by progressives and RINO's. Those RINOs got there through party-line voting and they will continue to 'get there,' until we figure out WE are the one's putting into office those who WILL TRADE AWAY OUR FREEDOM. The RINO is worse than voting for the democrat, the RINO is a sneak, liar, and horse-trader of Rights that are not his to barter with the devil with.
