I’ll take a wild guess and say 100% of unwed mothers become pregnant. Am I close?

"What were you implying?"

What? How can observing that they look clean cut imply anything else? I thought being clean cut was a good thing.

All you have is name calling. If you weren't referring to Bristol, then who were you referring to? It's interesting that you're afraid to answer this simple question. Well, actually it's not interesting, it's expected.

It looks like his younger brother is studying the event.

They're cousins.

Being childish, and nonsensical on a political forum is not dignified.

I bet Sarah’s dad wanted her to be a teacher. Well, look at her now. She’s one of, if not THE most powerful women in the USA

You're comparing being governor of Alaska to being on a reality show with Kyle Massey?

Let me get this straight: I respond to your direct reference about Ronald Reagan and Sarah Palin’s TV careers and I’m being ‘specious’? I think you’ve posted so many responses on this thread that you’ve forgotten what you’ve written. That you consider Bristol Palin ‘sweet’ and apparently incorruptible is your prerogative but her decision to be the central character in a cable TV show that will focus on her living with two young men is a dubious choice, whether you think so or not. However, Bristol Palin doesn’t need anyone’s approval, including yours. I’m just concerned that she’ll be pushed into doing stupid stuff that will make her look bad and be used by the left to denigrate Sarah Palin, yet again. Apparently this doesn’t concern you. I get it. Now, let’s just let it go. This isn’t worth the argument.

I think this is the child who will bedevil Palin all of her life.

I clicked the link and read the whole short story and perhaps I missed something. What did Bristol do wrong? Go for a tv show? It looks to me like she's trying to make money to support herself and child.

I bear you no ill will but I must be missing the point, that this is even news, except for the media trying their damndest to find something to pound our next President with.

This thread is disappointing:

Bristol is a thorn in Sarah’s side.

Hell, this isn’t any worse than pimping foster children.

The Bush girls, Chelsea Clinton, and Amy Carter didn’t get knocked up and drop out of high school...

I think she has become a terrible distraction to the process, and she is not a conservative governor, she is a former governor who quit . . . not sure there is enough brains there yet to get anything accomplished.

First she became an unwed mom, then she married the fellow who created such havoc in her family with his allegations, then divorced him, then went back with him and created more problems

As much as the media love to dig into anything Sarah, voters won't really care about Bristol. Those who love Sarah will see Bristol as a child who at least allowed the baby to live and as not too different from our own sisters, parents, or grandparents [how many on FR have grandparents whose first child was born six months after the wedding but seven or more pounds?]. Those who hate Sarah will see Bristol as proof of whatever they want to say about Sarah (see, teens will have sex, so schools need to give them condoms to prevent pregnancy).

I doubt that Sarah sees Bristol as a thorn; I've read Sarah's writing, including many emails that she never expected to be made public, and she's not that type of woman.

I don't see Michele Bachmann as "pimping" her foster children. Michele is simply being herself, and that is a big part of who she genuinely is - someone I admire and (mostly) like.

There is a whole lot more to Bristol than simply getting knocked up and dropping out, and that choice of words diminishes her unfairly.

Sarah is a whole lot more than a former governor who quit, and as much as I disliked her decision to quit at the time, I have accepted that it was the correct move for Alaska given the destructiveness of her enemies. Brains? Look at Sarah's accomplishments - those successes were not just good luck.

I don't see Bristol as a distraction. No matter what anyone with a connection to Sarah does or doesn't do, the far left media will dig continuously into her life for the next six years just as they have for the past three years. The distraction would be manufactured with or without Bristol, and nothing that little girl does can add to or subtract from the tsunami of destruction that the media will continue to create to surround Sarah and attempt to drown her out.

I don't see the point in this sort of discussion with the unnecessary loaded words. The real questions are: would Sarah be a great president, and can Sarah win? I think both answers are "yes". I hope we are done trashing Sarah, Michele, Jim DeMint, Herman Cain, and the rest of the conservatives. I have a first choice in that group (despite her daughter's role in the news), but what matters is electing someone who will restore America as a free country. Any of the good although imperfect conservatives I mentioned could do that.

You know nothing about the show, but you want to write volumes about it, when you learn something about the show share it with us.

The silliest thing was you trying to pair up Bristol Palin and Ron Reagan as alike.

Are you aware what the pregnancy rate is for unwed mothers in our country?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say 100%.

Sorry, I know I'm about the 18th person to give the same response, but I'm hoping you'll find a reason to laugh at how we all post before reading the rest of the discussion. You brightened a lot of people's days as they got to be witty and clever, and that good deed of yours is something to smile about.

The Massey Boys are the “good” kids from Hollywood. Bristol is probably in better company with them than being surrounded by ASU frat boys. They are friends and are not sleeping together on this show. Their show is NOT “Big Brother”, it is a fun look at L.A. while the three of them do charity work.

I don't see the point in this sort of discussion with the unnecessary loaded words.

I asked the mods to shut down the thread after it degenerated into a pissing match, but they must think it has some value.

Thanks for your comments.

Sarah’s first career was in television, Sarah and Todd have become very close to and fond of, the brothers and the Massey family, my guess is that Todd and Sarah approve very much of this opportunity for Bristol.

The show sounds very clean and wholesome.

Yes, me too. I’m just pointing out that Bristol Palin probably loves our perfect winters but our summers less so.

As far as a thread involving the Palin children, this one hasn’t been too bad, I’ve seen them gone after much worse at times.
