... and creates no sonic boom ...

Puh-LEEEEEEEEEEZE. You're proposing that the lack of a sonic boom is evidence that this wasn't a missile launch?

For a total combination of I don't know how many decades, I lived well within 35 miles of Vandenberg and its missile launches.

Hey, ODT?

TAKE A WILD GUESS at how many times I heard a sonic boom to go with the dozens and dozens of launches that happened during those years I lived there.

Go ahead. Guess.

On the other hand, I heard every time the double sonic-boom of the returning space shuttle 45 miles away (the distance I lived from Cape Canaveral for several years).

Wake up, ODT. Somebody's trying to pull the wool over your eyes, and you're giving them a hand because it makes you feel so good.

You're right, Finny: A vertical-launch missile makes no sonic boom as it rises, until the missile is at 20,000-ft or more, and then it's a retreating wave directed primarily upward. That video looked more like a rocket/missile going up than a jet in level flight. I'm not aware of any more DATA than the film. TC

Boy, you've written a lot, certainly much to think about. But, what I'm really curious about are the aliens - you know, the ones that come and visit you at night. When they come, and take you up into their spaceship, is their probing that takes place? Just curious.
