My Catcher and the Rye tattoo is obviously about the book, but a lot of it is also about my family,
I've heard of 'Catcher IN the Rye.' Is she avoiding copyright infringement or is she really tattooing an error into her flesh.

I've heard of 'Catcher IN the Rye.' Is she avoiding copyright infringement or is she really tattooing an error into her flesh. Hmmm, Rye could be rye whiskey, and catcher, well, in prison-speak, a "catcher" is an inmate that is sexually passive or submissive, often victimized.
Not something I'd go bragging about myself, let alone get a tattoo about it - an alcoholic ex-con that was sexually abused in prison...
