I never said that criminal charges should not be brought, I suspect they will as soon as it is confirmed that Obama is not eligible.

It is a classic Catch 22 of politics, Obama cannot be charged with a crime until it is proved that he is and always has been ineligible however in order to prove that he is ineligible someone has to get him to prove it in a court of law.

No one in this country except for it seems a number of brave souls are willing to risk everything to force him to prove he is eligible in a civil court, oddly enough the only courts open to our citizens to question the constitutional eligibility of Barack Obama without the assistance of our justice department.

One more time, Obama does not EVER need to prove that he is eligible. Those who oppose him need to prove that he is ineligible.

It is amazing to me that in the three and a half years since Barack Obama first announced his candidacy for the presidency that no one has attempted to get a Grand Jury to look into his eligibility and since he had to sign documents in several states which required him to state that he is a natural born citizen of the United States, it always seemed to me that his signature on those documents would be the perfect entre’ to a formal investigation.

Just as the Whitewater investigations began with a state level grand jury in Arkansas, there is no need for a grand jury investigation of Obama’s eligibility to begin in the federal courts. Any state where Obama’s name appeared on the ballot could undertake such an investigation but none have.

Yes, he does need to confirm his eligibility and here’s why...

John McCain had to.

Why because there were question about his natural born status just like with Obama.

The key difference is that McCain was dragged into court over his eligibility and Obama fought tooth and nail to prevent having to face this issue in a court of law.

Obama doesn’t even qualify as a natural born citizen under the very senate resolution he supported to cover John McCain.

Obama has never been held to the same standard that McCain had to endure in the press and in the court.

In the political arena when a question of this magnitude comes up and one candidate is held to a higher standard then the rest must be held to the same standard.

Our more liberal and progressive members might say the press and the government are not required to equally demand from one candidate what it demands from another but we are talking about the very clause that determines weather or not any candidate meet the standard for the office of the presidency as set forth in the Constitution. Once that standard was applied to McCain, all other candidate should have been held to the same standard.
