We must start a campaign to recognize for posterity doctor Ang’awa. The man that delivered Obama ...
February 8, 1970 - One of the pioneer medical specialists in the country, Dr Ang'awa was hit on the head with a blunt object on Tom Mboya Street by an unknown assailant...
My first thought here was “how Clintonesque”. Then I read that two of Mary Ang’awa’s children are named Hillary and William. (cue Twilight Zone theme)
I’m speechless for the moment...
FN: Below from last year. Have not checked to see if there has been additional clarification on this point.

Dont think, James O.W. AngAwa, is consistant with Davids information. OTOH Its worth some investigation.

You’re correct. However there are in fact two doctors on the main birth file—one doctor delivered the baby and one doctor signs the filing. I don’t remember anything about the guy who signed the filing and it might very well have been Ang’Awa.
The doctor who delivered is a woman who worked for the British British Colonial Service.

I think Ang'Awa may have been one of the doctors on the certificate.
I have never seen a clear enough copy of the certificate to be sure but I think the woman doctor is not listed there. The evidence she was there is secondary from the Christian group but there is also communication indicating an effort by the Republican Senate campaign to get information from her which was rebuffed.
You have no clue why she was there or how she got there but this all happens prior to independence of Kenya and at a time when the place the Hospital is located may have been under administration separate from the main part of Kenya.
Just out of curiosity, why isn’t there a space for “Residence of Father?”
Seriously? Her kids’ names are William and Hillary?
Wow.
The doc shows birthplace of both parents, no current address for either.
Residence seems to be for City.State/Country. Not address.
Third line has space for Residence of Mother and Birthplace of Mother
The Fourth Line has a space for Birthplace of father, but not Residence of Father. It also has spaces for Occupations of both Mother and Father.
It is curious that the Residence of the father would not be documented as well.
I see what you mean now...I can't answer that.
I think that was “um gawa”.
You have a “Beautiful Mind”!
It didn’t seem to work for Blago.
There was a “Children of the Corn” moment in that video wasn’t there? Very odd stuff.
Very.
A wondering out loud question.
I did a quick search for a standard (blank or completed) Kenyan form (current and past). There is so much out there it is impossible to tell which is real and which is fake.
Yes. Bizarre coincidence.
With a special guest appearance by Heltan Maganga, who wasn't Chief Administrator of Coast at the time.
