Interesting article about Hawaii DOH blocking Public Records requests:
Yeah. Did you catch how he checked the internet to see if the requestor was anti-Obama and then counseled Fukino to respond by saying the requested information was confidential (even though it’s not)?
That’s still the line Fukino is using for everything she doesn’t want to have to answer - all the while saying she is upholding the law when she’s blatantly breaking it by refusing to disclose what is DEMANDED by law for her to disclose.
Transparent to anybody who’s watching.
And it’s not just the DOH either. I had a response from OIP Director, Cathy Takase, saying it was reasonable for the DOH to assume that I was asking about Obama’s birth certificate even though I simply asked for index data for certificate #151-61- (whatever the numbers are). Why was it reasonable to assume that I was asking for Obama’s records? Aren’t they required by law to actually look at what I’m asking?
They’re acting like kangaroo agencies over there. If we let them get away with it, then it’s our fault. But we need everybody to give out a shout about it if anything’s gonna happen, and they know it. They’re playing chicken with the whole dad-blasted country.
