“While her primary critics are liberal Democrats, the bien-pensants of both parties fear and loathe her.”
His definition of “right minded” is the same as my definition of “snobby elitist jackass”. The self anointed royalty have destroyed this country, and they are going down.

This obsession with the image is B.S. Sarah Palin is the real deal; not some pathetic image dreamed up by some pencil neck.

Unfortunately, Sarah’s recent statement that she is “100 percent” for the re-election of the RINO John McCain is not going to help her.
A real conservative eschews and avoids faux-conservatives like McCain, Graham, et al.
If Sarah should actually endorse McCain over a real conservative like J.D. Hayworth in Arizona (who may be challenging McCain), it will not bode well for her political future.
McCain might be her political benefactor for bringing her into national prominence, but he is unworthy of her support and I can’t imagine anyone disagreeing with that.

I think she’s ten times more polished as a speaker now than she was this time last year. I don’t know who’s coaching or helping her, but she’s catching on fast. I’ve never seen anything like it. For instance, Dubya got better as a speaker, too, but not as quickly or as completely as Sarah has. She is scary good and I can see why libs have fits every time they hear her name. They have reason to be afraid. She has it all.

WHAT surprised me the most about her appearance was the obvious "warm," "enthusiastic" and "extended" applause/response by the audience who (as is the case with most late night talk shows) are mostly younger people and libs.
That could NOT have escaped the leftist loons and I imagine more than one head exploded spectacularly. lol

I just finished reading “Rogue” yesterday and it is thick with information about her life in Alaska, the challenges she faced going up every level in politics (all the same centrifuge of back-biting and sniping but higher levels each time) and her philosophy on government’s role in our lives (get out of our way). I loved the book, I love her even more for articulating everything I’ve believed my entire life. God bless Gov. Palin and her family and associates. Wherever God leads her, I will follow.

Reading the commentary at the top of this thread and the comments to this point, leads me to make the following observations and comments.
Sarah Palin is a competent individual. She was a successful mayor and a successful governor for about two and a half years of her four year term. She ran with John McCain. She became widely popular. She is human. She has been excellent at times. She has made a mistake or two. One recent mistake has led some of us to fear she might not pan out to be who we wanted her to be.
Folks, that's it. That's all she is. That's all the good. That's all the bad. This is the political Sarah Palin.
Sophia Loren? Katharine Hepburn? Margaret Thatcher? Demi Moore? Joan of friken Arc?
Good grief. She's now compared to actresses. Holy cow Batman, that seals the deal for me. Not! Demi Moore? Gag me with a pitchfork. Which side is this ignoramous on? Margaret Thatcher? This is downright painful. Margaret Thatcher helped lead the world out of the Cold War. I'm not going to dignify that by comparing Palin to it. The comparison would be painful for me to make, embarrassing to her supporters. Joan of Arc? Get... a... grip, folks.
Okay one side sees her as Saint Palin. The other sees her as deeply flawed now. I see her as neither.
She isn't Saint Palin. She isn't deeply flawed. She made one comment I don't care for. Fine. I've had my say on the subject. Now I'll wait and see what pans out.
This bull s--t bickering about it is a waste of time and destructive. What she did is on the record. End of story.
Let's grow up and move on for the time being. What she does from her on out will be observed by all of us, and we can solidify our beliefs as things play out.
Neither side has anything to gain here by participating in an "NO she isn't!", "YES she is!" shout fest.
Palin Supporters, good grief. Are your pshycies really this brittle?
Palin detractors, good grief, we have not reached the time when we should start giving Palin the McCain treatment.
Both sides. Shut the hell up. ENOUGH already.

It repeats what the left claims is a characteristic of conservative Christians (uneducated and easily led) The Stupak Amendment in the House successfully used that theory to hoodwink the Christian Right to pressure the R's to vote for it.
The House Republicans were too weak, and stupid, to resist.
Thus, we have a Health Care bill passed by the House, soon another to pass the Senate, and, if one of the theories proposed on Rush is used, passed by both Houses yet this year.
The Left is a lot of things, but it looks like they have successfully used "It repeats what the left claims is a characteristic of conservative Christians (uneducated and easily led)
