Hoffman was for Scozzafava before he was against her
Watertown Daily Times ^ | MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2009 | JUDE SEYMOUR

Posted on 10/29/2009 5:59:36 AM PDT by Mojave

Doug Hoffman pledged to help Dede Scozzafava in an e-mail sent two days after the Republican Party passed over the Lake Placid accountant for the nomination.

The e-mail, sent from Mr. Hoffman's business account on July 24 and provided by the Scozzafava campaign, states in full: "Hi Dede, Congratulations and the best of luck in your candidacy. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Doug."

This is contrary to what Mr. Hoffman, who is now running against Ms. Scozzafava as a Conservative candidate, told me less than two weeks later.

Her position was that she would raise taxes, but in order to get Gingrich to support her, she signed a no-tax pledge. So did she lie about not signing it, did she lie when she signed it, or is her position on taxes based solely on whose endorsement she needs today?

No, it's a followup to his written pledge to support the nominee selected.

Where is that pledge? But yes, this is just the typical congratulation note, and this is what you offered as proof.

“Despite having signed a pledge to support the eventual nominee to emerge from the process, Hoffman considered the possibility of asking for the Conservative Party’s endorsement to run against Scozzafavva, making it a three way race.”

Yawn.

Let's ask Hoffman after he gets the Rat elected.
Oh yea, as opposed to Dede who would be getting a rat elected? WTF people...

(1) Hoffman wins and the the GOP gets a message to push harder to the right

(2) Hoffman loses and the GOP gets the message to run faster away from the right, and Obama gets a feather in his cap spun as "NY litmus test supports Obama agenda"

I wish hoffman weren't such a dud. Kind of critical to be a compelling spokesman for one's self these days in politics.

Even Mark Levin couldn't coax any fervor out of him on his show.

...said Sandra Corey, the former GOP chairwoman of Jefferson County. “And then all of a sudden, it’s a no-go, like he hadn’t understood her background, which is a falsehood. I would never, ever trust him."

Well, isn't that preciously sanctimonious of Ms. Former GOP Chair?

The fact the the GOP continues to foist democrap lite on us and tell us it is a good repub candidate is the only deliberately duplicitous deed I see here.

I frankly find it hilarious a bunch of GOP suits are pi$$ed. Lately they’ve been outraged that Obama’s agenda has been stifled by honest, hardworking Americans fed up that the government is corrupt as hell. I’d love to be a fly on the wall and hear those boneheads whimpering, “They’re on to us! They’re on to us!!”

Gun Owners of America endorsed Hoffman yesterday. The NRA backed Scuzzufifi a few weeks ago before Hoffman got into the race.

I hope to see a clarification by the NRA before the election.

THat’s interesting, but not surprising given that they picked a liberal. Most smart organizations get the pledge in writing. If they just had the 9 guys verbally agree as a group, they were really saying “we don’t care what you do, but our rules require that we pretend we do”.

Thanks for posting this ....

Due to your unwavering support of DIABLO’s - I sent Hoffman $50 this morning. Keep up the good work. At this rate he should have plenty of cash on hand for his 2010 re-election campaign.

:D
